Monthly-Rewind

Is it just me or has this year flown by?! I can’t believe that it is the end of November already! It’s been such a busy month for me personally and the blog has kind of suffered for it. Mommy duties have taken priority…specifically potty training. And I’m happy to report that my son has been in underwear now for a full week and a half and has had no accidents in four days 😀 I’m one happy mama!

Thanksgiving was this past week here in the US and my parents joined us for a few days. We stuffed our faces (courtesy of Cracker Barrel) and our Elf made his first appearance. Liam named him Red and I have to say we are having loads of fun with him. If any of you have done this before, I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

I’ve had some really excellent reads this month which hopefully I’ll get to share with you as the month of December starts. Also I’m excited to introduced Merry Mondays and I hope you participate 🙂

I’m linking this post up with the Caffeinated Reviewer’s Sunday Post, as this rewind replaces my usual weekly rewind. Info at the bottom on how to link up your own post. See you next week 😀

13528340Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grows dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious “errands”, she speaks many languages – not all of them human – and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.

When beautiful, haunted Akiva fixes fiery eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

I’m not sure what took me so long to finally read this series (which I’m currently finishing up the last book, Dreams of Gods & Monsters), but I’m glad I finally started it. I’m loving it! If you haven’t read this series and you love fantasy, go read it now!

What are you looking forward to in December?

Christmas is just around the corner and I can’t wait for Liam to open his presents this year. It’s so much fun watching his little face light up on Christmas morning 🙂 but not only that sharing with him the reason for the season. He is learning so quickly right now and learning about Jesus is his favorite thing. I believe this will be an extra special time this year 😀

Blogging and reading wise I can’t wait to share some amazing books with you all and Merry Mondays. I’m so looking forward to it. I hope you are too! What are your plans this holiday season?

    • I’m loving the series so far! Dreams of Gods & Monsters I’m struggling a bit with all the characters and side stories. I’m hoping they tie together soon!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week 🙂

    • I know right?! But I’m not going to complain. I love him! I’ll watch for your post 🙂 Mine’s this Thursday.

I can’t believe it’s already December. Where has this year gone?! I just want time to slow down. My little one is growing way to fast 🙁
Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week!

    • He’s not been too bad yet. We’re having a lot of fun with him though. Today he made himself a swing 😉 Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week 🙂

  1. I’m in denial about it being December. I’m so not ready!! We did Elf on the Shelf last year and my then 3 year old loved it. I didn’t do anything particularly crazy just moved the Elf around and we had to “find” him every morning. I’d put him in silly places (like on the ceiling fan or in the Christmas tree or in a vase in the kitchen) and he thought it was hilarious. Have fun!
