What a very long week this has been! It started with some good and ended with some bad. How about I start with the good 😉 For years I’ve wanted to attend a Garth Brooks concert and as of Friday I officially have tickets to see him in Knoxville (Cue the incoherent fangirl screaming). I cannot wait! The concert isn’t until Memorial Day weekend but I’m already planning my outfit and dinner before, plus I’m going with my sweet mama who introduced me to my love of all things Garth, so the night couldn’t get more perfect 😀
Now for the bad…my uncle has been sick for a while now and late on Friday he passed away leaving behind my cousins and aunt, plus a whole slew of brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews who will miss him terribly. My heart is broken, but also thankful because he is no longer suffering. And while we will miss him here, we will see him again one day.
On the reading front, I’ve been a bit on a slump this week, but that’s also coming off a weekend binge read 😉 What have you been up to this week?
Currently Reading
I got this from the library this week and plan to start it today as I just finished Steven James’s Fury which was very good! I’m a little hesitant to start it because I’m just not sure how Meyer can top my love of Scarlet and Wolf 😀

That’s awesome you get to attend that concert, I hope it’s awesome! I am sorry to hear your uncle passed away, but it’s good that he is no longer suffering. What did you bigne read? I hope you’ll get out of your reading slump soon.
I can’t wait to hear what you think of Light of a Thousand Stars I really enjoyed it and wa sso happy to get that piece of their past!
I’ve read Upside Down, but it wasn’t a book for me. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

Thank you Lola! I’m really looking forward to the concert and despite the circumstances seeing my family next weekend.
Let’s see last weekend I read Collide by Ashley C. Harris, The Decaying Empire by Laura Thalassa, Spearwood Academy Vol 6 by A.S. Oren and topped it off with Light of a Thousand Stars 😀 They were all great, 4 and 5 star reads! So it took me a little bit to get back into a reading groove last week.
Hmmm…from following your blog I know we have similar reading tastes so that doesn’t give me much hope for Upside Down 🙁
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great week and happy reading!
I am really sorry about your Uncle, we lost my great-uncle this month and it’s never easy. Meyer will treat you good..dive in. Hope this week brings only good news.

Thank you Kimba! I’m looking forward to a weekend with family even if the circumstances are bad.
I took your advice and dived into Cress and I love it 🙂
Hope you have a wonderful week and spoil that Princess Sophia rotten, that’s what Nonna’s are supposed to do 😉
Wow, a review a day? Amazing. Great job. I see Marina Adair is on your reading list. I am reading her St. Helena Vineyard series right now and enjoying it for the most part.
I am so sorry about the loss of your relative. Truly I am.
As for Garth Brooks, there are no words to say how much I envy you! I love Garth and country music as a whole. Have a great time at the concert and do a “yee-haw” for us who can’t go haha

I’m going to try 😉 At least the books are read and I have this cute little book diary my husband got me at Christmas that I write notes in if I don’t have time to write the review right away. So hoping it helps ::fingers crossed::
I love Marina’s St. Helena’s Vineyard series. I got (I think book 5) last year for review and it hooked me so I went back and read them all 😀
I will definitely be screaming my head off Memorial Day weekend for everyone that can’t come. I adore Garth Brooks 😀 And surprisingly the ticket prices weren’t too bad!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week and happy reading 🙂
So sorry about your uncle. Losing someone you love is always hard. At least you have some great looking books to keep you company. I have to say that Cress was my favourite from that series so far — hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Thank you Kara! Books and family are always a comfort 🙂 and Cress is NOT disappointing. I’m loving it! Hope you have a great week!
I am SO sorry to hear your uncle passed away 🙁 *cyber hugs* Praying for you and your family! Thank you for letting us know about Garth Brooks! I don’t do country music, but my mom is a HUGE fan and now I am going to see if I can arrange tickets for her to see him in September for her birthday 😀
Thank you Sarah! I hope you can get tickets for your Mom. I’m so looking forward to the concert 😀 I’m sure you all will be sick of hearing about it by the time it actually gets here 😉
