Happy Sunday everyone! I’m so thankful this week is over. It has worn me out!!! Liam has been crawling in bed with us every night at 2am like clockwork and I haven’t been able to get him to sleep otherwise. I don’t know if this is a phase or what but he is wearing me out. We have a king bed but he tends to take up the whole bed when he climbs in with us. Honestly I could use a little sleep.

Last week I told you I had big plans for the pool because the weather was supposed to be nice. I lied. The weather sucked! It rained just about everyday this week and at odd times so that when we could go to the pool it was either storming or had just finished storming so the water would be too cold. Oh well! I got a lot of reading done 😉 In fact I finished Susan Ee’s Penryn and the End of Days series this week and I’m feeling a bit nostalgic and wanting to read it again!

What have you done this week?

What are you reading this week?

This week is VBS at our church so I’m not really sure just how much reading I’ll get done. It’s everyday from 9-12, so it’s not long but I have a feeling that little man and I will be too tired to do much of anything. It’s supposed to be pretty next week and HOT so my plan is to head to the pool every day after VBS. The goal: to wear Liam out!!!! I want to sleep this week 😀 What are your plans?

You may have noticed the changes to the blog, thanks goes to Michelle at Limabean Designs for the new header (there’s more to come). I finished the updates yesterday so if you see anything that’s acting wonky, please let me know. I’d appreciate it 😉 Have a great week and happy reading!

  1. I love the rain – but only at the right time… on a weekend or when I don’t need to leave the house and when I can lie in bed and wallow in its soothing pitter patter. Of course it usually comes when you least want it to!

I love the ‘being Elizabeth Bennett for a day’ idea. As long as Colin Firth is Mr Darcy! 😉

    • Oh….no I need Matthew MacFayden as my Mr. Darcy 😉 Of course I’ve never seen the Colin Firth version, I may have to jump ships! Hope you have a great week and happy reading!

    • The Dark Angel series is SO good! I came across it by chance last year and it’s just so unique and the world is so cool. I’m savoring this last one though. I don’t want to read it too fast 😆
I wasn’t a big fan of The Night We Said Yes….I loved the alternating POV but too much teen drama for me.
Hope you have a great week and happy reading!

    • Oh the first one (Upside Down) is really good and Sideswiped is a continuation of their story. I’m excited to read it 🙂
Janet Evanovich has been doing a lot of co-writing and I was surprised that this one was as the first two in the series aren’t. My thoughts (and this is just my opinion) the series isn’t as popular as her By the Numbers so she’s not devoting the same amount of time to it. Again just an assumption on my part 😉

    • Me too Heather!!! I’ve got a plan and I’m hoping to just wear him out this week 😉 End of Days is really good, a little anticlimatic (at least I thought it was) but still good. I’m really in withdrawals!

  2. Your blog looks AMAZING!!! I will have the other proofs done for you tonight 🙂

I am looking forward to reading A History of Glitter and Blood, I got it at BEA, it looks interesting and dark sort of.

I have pushes aside reviews as well and try to get what I have read. After doing my spreadsheets this weekend, I have a lot of books that I want to read 🙂

I hope you have a great week, Lillian! Happy Reading

    • It only looks amazing because YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I’m in love with what you’ve done Michelle 😀
Maybe we could buddy read A History of Glitter and Blood? If you’re up for it, I’ve not done that before 😉
Have a great week and Happy reading!

  3. I love your new banner and design, it fits your blog so perfectly! Michelle did a great job with the banner design. I hope you can get some more sleep this week and hopefully it’s a phase that Liam climbs in your bed. That’s sad it raind so much when you wanted to go to the pool this week, we actually had some nice weather, warm, but not too warm. I heard good things about the Penryn and the End of Days series, but I am not sure if it’s a series for me. You got a nice haul this week, the cover for Everville is pretty! I hope you can go to the pool a few times this week and wear Liam out enough so you both can get some sleep.

    • Thank you Lola! Michelle did a great job 🙂 She just sent over the rest of my stuff and I can’t wait to upload them all!
I have grand plans of wearing Liam out this week so that he has no choice but to sleep through the night….crossing my fingers! It’s supposed to be beautiful this week (direct quote from weather guy), hopefully he’s right.
Penryn is definitely either a love it or hate it series. I loved it, but mainly because it didn’t go too much into the angel mythology and had more of an urban fantasy/dystopian type feel to it.
Hope you have a great week and happy reading!

    • You know, I was really looking forward to it, but I just didn’t care for Hush, Hush. The ending hooked me though so I want to read the rest of the series. Glad you enjoyed it 😀
