Merry Monday!! Today’s topic is “Favorite Holiday Reads” suggested by Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews. Oh my!. As you all know, I’m very much a mood reader, however I do have certain books that I like to read at certain times of the years, seasonal reads if you will 😉
Every fall, like clockwork, I read The Hunger Games and Twilight. The funny thing is that it is at the same time every year that I get in the mood to read them…right after Halloween, before Thanksgiving. I take a week on each series. Sometimes I binge read them, speeding through the slow parts and savoring my favorite parts. Other times I simply read and look for things that I may have missed in past readings. I always find something though!
During the holidays, like Christmas, I tend to read more easy reads. My husband likes to call them Hallmark books because they are usually so much like the cheesy Hallmark movies. This past Christmas I read My Own Mr. Darcy, Under a Georgia Moon, and Cinder & Ella. All of these were perfect reads! Short and easy, just right for the busy holiday season!
