Happy Sunday everyone! What a very WET week we’ve had in East TN. It’s rained every single day this week, including the 4th! Lucky us though the rain paused long enough for fireworks and little man and I didn’t even have to leave our apartment to watch them. We could see the show (for the most part anyways).

With the rain came a little cold for little man so we stayed indoors, played, napped, and lots of cuddling this week. I was able to get quite a bit of reading done, 4 books for the week all COYER eligible so I’m a happy girl. What did you read this week?

Currently Reading

Book Cover for "The Codex" by Joe Duck

Going to be completely honest for a sec….from the title The Codex: An Angel’s Guide to Seducing a Human I probably would have passed this book thinking it was erotica or borderline. I must say it is NOT. It’s more borderline satire, “lazy fantasy” one reviewer called it. Honest opinion so far: HILARIOUS and I’m loving it!!!

What are you reading this week?

As you are reading this, I’m most likely in a car with my little man on our way to see family. My husband is working weird hours this week and rather than being home by ourselves we thought we’d take a trip home to visit grandparents.

What are your plans for the week?

  1. Oh… bad luck to have crappy weather for all of the celebrations and long weekend etc. And getting a cold in summer really sucks!

I actually enjoy the rain – as long as it doesn’t interfere with my plans! 😉

Will check out your Merry Mondays linkup. God knows my Mondays could do with some cheering up!

    • It’s been terrible, hasn’t it Katherine?! I feel like it’s Spring, not Summer! At least we’ve had a pretty day today and I think it’s supposed to be pretty all week. At least I hope it is! Hope you have a great week 🙂

    • I haven’t started it yet, but several of the authors involved I’ve read previously and LOVE their stuff. I’m sure it won’t disappoint (you know other than wanting more!).

  2. It seems we’re finally getting some rain here today, it’s been really warm here this week. I did read a lot this week, but as I am reading two large books I only finished one book. Next week’s feature and follow topic sounds fun, I would totally go for eating indian the rest of my life if I had to choose. I love indian food and it’s often vegetarian and lots of flavour. And naan, I love curry with naan. I hope you’ll have a great week!
