Starting on November 1st, I have been in full Christmas mode: music, decorating, gift buying, the works! I’ve always loved this time of year so when I saw this read-a-thon, I thought it was the perfect way to add to my holiday spirit! My Christmas tree is going up later today AND I can already smell the spiced tea I have brewing in the kitchen right now. I cannot wait to curl up with a good book, reading about snow and the holidays with all the lights off and the Christmas tree shining bright. Anyone else with me?!
Jennifer @ the Bookshelfery and Kimba @ the Caffeinated Book Reviewer are hosting the Ho-Ho-Ho Read-a-thon starting this Thursday (Nov. 12th) through the 17th. Here’s the details:
We love holiday themed reads from the covers to the warm & fuzzy tales on the inside. For this read-a-thon you must read holiday themed or winter setting reads. For bloggers, we have spoken to most of the main publishing houses and for ARCS of holiday books released in Sept/Oct, they are fine with you posting a review in November and December since that is when folks look to buy them. For our non-blogger friends you can join too. Just link your Goodreads, Tumblr or Facebook account. Looking forward to spending time with you. Sign up HERE.
My Goals
Okay if you noticed my Sunday Post this past week (and really the last couple), I picked up a ton of Christmas themed freebies. Since the read-a-thon is only 5 days and I’m not a superwoman with enhanced reading ability, I plan to read 3-4 books, more if I can. I’m also looking forward to the challenges and will do at least one.
Books I Have to Choose From:
I’m very much a mood reader so depending on my mood will depend on which of these I read. Which do you think I should read?
Ooh that’s a nice bunch to pick from! A Christmas Gift looks good 🙂
