Happy Sunday y’all! I hope those that celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did 😀 My niece was born in the wee hours of Black Friday, beautiful and healthy. We spent yesterday putting up the tree (though it isn’t decorated yet…we have no lights!) and Friday I found some really good deals on Christmas presents. All in all I’d say it was a good week!
I have to add that Friday after shopping (I was home before 10am) that we binged the Gilmore Girls revival episodes…all 4…6 hours worth of laughs, a little crying and even some fangirl squealing that had my husband laughing at me. It was perfect and I NEED more though I know no more are coming. If you’re a fan of the series, you must watch these episodes and then send me an email so I can fangirl with you.
Reading wise I listened to one book and read 3 others. Unfortunately one of those was a 2-star read from a favorite author too…I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a 2-star read. It makes me sad! I put off reviewing the book because I don’t know where to start. Ever had that problem?
Currently Reading
I have in my possession an early copy of Crown of Cinders from the author and I’m ecstatic! I’m only a few chapters in but I’m dying over here. Favorite series and it’s coming to an end. I’m so excited!!

This Week’s Book Fix
What are you reading this week?
This week I’m hoping for a little down time. There is nothing planned until Saturday so I’m crossing my fingers. I plan to work on finishing a blanket I’m making for my niece and my future niece (my other sis-in-law is also pregnant). While crocheting I need a good book to listen to…any recommendations?
Next Saturday is my husband’s work Christmas party…this will be my first adult party and it’s formal. I’ll be honest…I’m a little nervous ? Can’t really explain why but I am. I’ll share pics next week.
How did you celebrate Thanksgiving? Do you shop the Black Friday sales or wait till Cyber Monday? Did you watch the Gilmore Girls reunion episodes? Share below
Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! And congrats on the new member of the family. A Black Friday baby! speaking of Black Friday i totally avoid it lol but Cyber Monday… I’ll probably be looking for some good deals on Monday.
Gilmore Girls seems to be getting a lot of attention! Hope you have a good weekend and week ahead.

Ah yes, Gilmore Girls. I will admit that I was a little disappointment by all of the movies combined, and I wish that there were more jokes. But I am glad that I watched them, and I do wish that more were coming! Enjoy your week, and good luck with the blanket! 🙂

Congratulations on your new niece! I love babies a little more than I love books. Ha ha. I went Black Friday shopping once and never went again! One of my favorite audiobooks was The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

My decorations are all up too. My house looks like a lovely christmas wonderland, I love it!
I have never seen the Gilmore Girl, not even once, I hear everyone talking about it but not sure why I never watched it. Glad you enjoyed it.
I have never been to a formal christmas party, I hope you have a great time! Those always sound like a lot of fun.
Have a great week, Lillian! Happy Reading! ox

Glad you had such a wonderful holiday!! I put my tree up on Thanksgiving morning! I was so excited! I have never seen a single episode of The Gilmore Girls. Crazy, I know. So many of my friends were so excited and they couldn’t believe I have never watched it.
Company Christmas parties are always nerve-wracking for me. What to wear, what to expect, etc. I just hate them! Ugh! Hopefully your husband’s company party will be just fine!

First off: Congratulations on the new edition to the family! 🙂
We had a quiet Thanksgiving with no rush to go shopping on Black Friday. I haven’t even started shopping and still don’t know what to get anybody! *le sigh* Hope you have a great week! ~Aleen

My goodness – I’m amazed the Christmas decorations seem to go up so much earlier on your side of the pond. I generally put ours up on the second or third week of December, trying to time it when the grandchildren come to stay so they can help. It’s been a revelation to me how much excitement and enthusiasm you have about all the Christmas preparation and its made me reconsider my own rather Scrooge-like attitude. I’m going to get more positive about the whole business this year:). Thank you for the inspiration…
