Happy Sunday y’all! How is it already the end of July?! Didn’t it just start ? I’m not ready for it to end yet. That means that in two weeks little man starts school and I’ll have a first grader. Y’all I’m just not ready for that! I love him being home and I love the summer we’ve had. I don’t want it to end *said in my most whiny voice*
July was busy. We celebrated out 11th wedding anniversary by seeing a couple of movies, both of which we enjoyed (Spiderman Homecoming and War on the Planet of the Apes). Then we went on vacation. We spent part of the week in the mountains, going to an amusement/water park and then the last half of the week we spent laying around the house recouping.
I think I’m slowly getting my reading groove back. In July I read 11 books and reviewed 11. I’m almost back to my average of 12-15 a month….yay!!
Favorite July Read
Seriously The Savage Dawn by Melissa Grey DESTROYED me!!! It was a fantastic, stunning conclusion to the series and even after three weeks, it is still haunting me. Perfection ❤️
Favorite July Quote
To all those who face change without fear. Go forward. To the ever-transforming glory of the public library, without which we would all be diminished. No one with a book is ever alone, even in the darkest moments. We are all book lovers. And we all chase the Great Library of Alexandria, one book at a time.

This Week’s Book Fix
What are you looking forward to in August?
Well as I already mentioned, school starts in two weeks. I’m NOT looking forward to that. I love having little man at home. On the 21st, there will be a full solar eclipse here which is really exciting. Apparently it hasn’t happened in our area in 99 years. Science is so cool ? Reading wise I’m hoping to start listening to some audios again once school starts. It’s hard to listen and play with a 6 year old at the same time, but I really enjoy audiobooks while he is in school. I plan to listen to the Throne of Glass series in prep for the next book.
What are you looking forward to in August? Any big plans? When do your kids go back to school? What was your favorite July read? Share below
Whoa, that’s a lot of reading! And such great book choices!
I’m feeling so behind these days. I just want to read but can’t seem to find the time anymore, unfortunately. 🙁
I hope you have another amazing reading week!

That’s been me too Stacy! We moved in March and my son started school last year. I thought I’d have more time to read while he was at school, but no such luck.
Hope you can find some reading time soon!
My kids don’t go back until after Labor day, but we’ve already started back to school shopping. I’m kinda torn part of me wants them to go back, so they stop laying around the house, but part of me doesn’t want summer to end.

I’d love if we could start after Labor Day. It would just make more sense. It’s still so hot here. I love him being home but like you I’m also torn. He’s starting to get bored so I know it’s time.
School starts back for my students (and thus, myself) on August 23rd. I don’t want to go either. I like being home! Stupid bills that require a job!
I’m so jealous you had so many 5 star reads! I didn’t have any this month. Hope you have a great August!
