Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Happy Tuesday y’all! This week’s topic is “Bookish Resolutions/Goals,” and I’ve done this one on my own in my New Year New Me post for 2018. So today I’m going to do a topic I missed towards the end of the year. The topic I chose is “Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2018.” There are so many good books coming out this year, so many that I could make a never ending list. However here are the top ten books I’m looking forward to in 2018. As always, covers/titles link to Goodreads/Blog/Amazon(aff).
Top Ten Twelve Books I’m Looking Forward to in the First Half of 2018
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black (Jan. 2): Technically this book is already out…and I really need to get a copy 😉 I love stories about the Fae and this one in particular intrigues me as it follows a human who was stolen from her family to be raised in the Fae court.
The Dark Calling by Kresley Cole (Feb. 13): This book was actually on my list last year but it didn’t have a release date….it was just me wishing. BUT it has a release day now and I cannot wait to finish the Arcana series. I still need to read book four, but my plan is to just binge them together next month.
Honor Among Thieves by Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre (Feb. 13): I love scifi and I love these two authors. I could not be more excited when I heard they were writing a book together. Only a month away 😀
Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston (Feb. 27): Space and androids and a love story? Yes please. In all seriousness, the blurb for this one sounds amazing.
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody (Apr. 10): This book has me intrigued. The blurb makes it sound like it is set in Las Vegas, yet it is a fantasy. I’m really excited to dive into it.
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian (Apr. 24): I adore fantasy and I am in desperate need of a good fantasy book. This book I hope will be it. The last surviving monarch of a kingdom now ruled by the Kaiser is forced to serve him for her own safety. She’s kept as a prize of war and to show the country he is in control now. Honestly I can’t wait to read this!
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young (Apr. 24): Another fantasy that I’m featuring tomorrow on Waiting on Wednesday. I personally cannot wait for this one. I’m always looking for a good fantasy to disappear into and this one sounds amazing. Plus Viking-inspired….do you really need to know anything else about it?
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas (May 1): Do I really need an explanation for why this one is on the list 😉 ACOTAR is one of my favorite series and somehow I missed the memo that there were going to be more books until I reached the end of A Court of Wings and Ruin and the beautiful page that said the series would continue. Seriously I squealed! I love the world and the characters and I cannot wait to read this one.
War Storm by Victoria Aveyard (May 15): The conclusion of Red Queen. No other explanation needed 😀
Legendary by Stephenie Garber (May 29): Caraval was my favorite debut last year. I loved it. I loved the world, the imagery, the characters. It was perfection. So I have high hopes for this one and cannot wait to dive in.
A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews (June 7): This is not a typical genre for me and everyone that knows me knows it. However I love Cait @ Paperfury and I’ve always said that if she wrote it I would read SO yay!!!! I really can’t wait to read this one.
My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton (June 26): My Lade Jane was such a fun read that when I heard the ladies had gotten together to write another and this time about a favorite literary character of mine I couldn’t have been more excited. I cannot wait to read their take of Jane Eyre. It promises to be another fun read.

I still need to read My Lady Jane, but I really do want to! And I’m totally reading Cait’s book. 🙂
