Happy Wednesday y’all! This week I’m excitedly waiting on Dread Nation by Justina Ireland. I haven’t read anything from this author before but I’m excited to read this one. Set during the America’s Civil War, it follows a young African American woman as she trains with others to fight zombies. Yep, you read that right ZOMBIES! I love historical fiction and I love zombies SO I may be a little too excited to read this story 😉

Jane McKeene was born two days before the dead began to walk the battlefields of Gettysburg and Chancellorsville—derailing the War Between the States and changing America forever. But when families around Baltimore County begin to go missing, Jane is caught in the middle of a conspiracy, one that finds her in a desperate fight for her life against some powerful enemies. And the restless dead, it would seem, are the least of her problems.
