Happy Sunday y’all! It was a good week here. The temps have been unseasonably mild. I think we even broke a high temp record on Wednesday when we hit 80. While I’m enjoying the nice weather, I’m a little leery too. Where I live in East TN, unseasonably warm weather means one of two things: a big snow is coming OR we are in for a really bad Spring (i.e. lots of storms with damaging winds, hail and tornadoes). I’m ok with the first, but not the second. When Liam was only 8 weeks old, we had a rash of bad storms and 9 tornadoes in one day. It was scary, I was trapped in our apartment because trees were blocking the roads, and we had no power for around 36 hours. Not bad, but not great when you have an 8 week old. SO I’ll take snow over storms any day 😉
Thursday was my birthday and I’ve noticed something. As I get older, I care less and less about that day. It doesn’t really mean anything except I’ve made it another year, which I am grateful for. My son however was distraught that I wasn’t having a birthday party, so we had leftover cupcakes from his party last week and I blew out a candle. That appeased him 😂 My husband did take me out on Friday for milkshakes (remember it’s been really warm) and we saw Black Panther afterwards.
Reading wise it was a good week. I managed to read 2 books and listen to 2 on audible. So far my reading binge in 2018 continues and I’ll take it after the slump I had last year. I still have four books on my TBR for February that I know I will not finish before the end of the month and that’s ok. I had 12 on the list which was pushing it when this month is a few days shorter. Wednesday I’ll be going to have lab work done to see if this cycle of IUI worked. Keep those fingers crossed and send those prayers and good vibes my way 😉

Happy Birthday! I also just find it to be another day. I just like to spend it with the family or reading.
The weather has been so weird, I am worried this summer will be really stormy or REALLY hot. I am hoping I am totally wrong!
Have a great week, Lillian! Happy Reading! 🙂

Glad you had a nice birthday! Birthdays haven’t really meant much to me over the past few years either. My niece shares my birthday with me now. Though I will admit I look forward to getting my favorite cookie cake ever as a birthday treat! Lol! I still need to see Black Panther as well, but the past few weekends have been busy with my sister’s wedding showers, 2 down, 1 to go! Then I might be taking a road trip the following weekend! I might just wait for the DVD at this point! Lol!
Hope you enjoy your new read too!

Oh my gosh! My birthday was Thursday too!! I kind of feel the same way as you do. I’ve had such bad experiences with friends ditching my birthday plans in the past that I stopped doing anything for my birthday because I was tired of being let down and disappointed. We’ve had unusually rainy weather this week – and the temperature keeps hovering in the 40s. I’ll be praying that this cycle has worked!! You’ve had a pretty good reading month overall, too. Don’t get down about it. I had hoped to read a couple more, too, but I still did pretty good. I hope you have a great week – and no storms!
Happy Birthday!!!!
I hope you have a great week!
