Lillian’s Update

Happy Sunday y’all! It was a dreary week here in East TN. It’s rained most of the week with below normal temps. I think we skipped Fall and went right into winter here. Brrr!!! Supposedly the sun will make an appearance today and get it to near normal temperature….I’m not holding my breath. As a result of the cold weather, I enjoyed lots of reading which allowed me to finally finish Tower of Dawn in prep for Kingdom of Ash which came out Tuesday y’all! I’m not excited about that or anything. If you’ve already read KoA, please no spoilers. I won’t be able to start it til later this week. Stupid being an adult and all 😒

Amanda’s Update

Just like in Tennessee, Virginia has been ideal for the reading, too. It’s been cold and rainy – which I love, usually. But we live in an older home and haven’t installed a woodstove yet. It’s a drafty house, so we don’t really stay too cozy when it’s cold like this. But once we have that woodstove – it’ll be like living in a cozy cocoon.

My husband travels for work. He’s been away from home since September and he came home early this week before heading out to the next job tonight. We were thrilled to have him home – the kids have been all over him. But the good news is that while he was gone I started co-blogging with Lillian, volunteered to lead our homeschool group, potty trained my three-year-old, decided to start a powerlifting class, and started my baby on purees. So he let me sleep in this morning. 🙂

  1. Ooh nice! Our weather keeps dancing the edges of fall and warmer temps, not quite summer ones thankfully, but not fully fall either! I hope you’re both able to avoid spoilers for KoA! I wish you the best of luck and if you need to take a break from social media in order to do so, that might be wise! I think I did that when it came to Allegiant and was able to get through that one spoiler free!

Nice new reads too! Lots of new to me ones other than KoA! Hope you both enjoy them all!

    Here’s my STS

  2. Very cool. You all are reading all the good stuff. I want to read Thrones of Glass I own almost all of them except KoA and have just started. That darned being adult is a real problem. I intend to quit soon. lol Anne – Books of My Heart

    • Hope you enjoy Throne of Glass! It’s one of my favorites. I think it would be amazing to binge the series now that it is all out. Have a great week!
