Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event originally created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. Jill has been MIA since August of 2016. Despite this, the meme lives on….Hope you come back Jill! Until then I will be joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can’t-Wait Wednesday.

This week I’m waiting on Through Blood, Through Fire by Cassandra Clare, Robin Wasserman. I adore “Jessa” (Jem + Tessa), Tessa Gray being some of my favorite literary characters EVER. In this book they’re looking for more information on “the lost Herondale” (aka Kit). I’m ALL THE WAY behind on the Ghosts of the Shadow Market series, but I *will* catch up. I hate the cover, but I feel like the story is always better than the cover anyway. But seriously. That cover. Yikes.

Series: Ghosts of the Shadow Market #8
Published by Simon and Schuster on 2018-11-13

Jem Carstairs and Tessa Gray are finally united after waiting over a century to be together, but they become aware a dark threat is looming over a child of the Shadow Market: a lost Herondale, from a line of Herondales who have used the Market to hide from their fellow Nephilim. Now is the time for the lost Herondale to be discovered. Jem and Tessa have to find him before his enemies can.

Praise for the The Mortal Instruments/The Dark Artifices series:

"Positively a quiver with secret ardor and murderous zeal.”
Kirkus Reviews

"Clare delivers spectacular Shadowhunter fare with her trademark street tough yet emotionally fragile adolescent characters taking on adult roles and includes plenty of violent action and passionate romance to satisfy fans of 'The Infernal Devices' and 'The Mortal Instruments' series, who will be thrilled to see some of their favorite characters from the previous books make appearances. VERDICT A must-have for libraries with devoted Shadowhunter fans, who will undoubtedly be waiting for this emotionally intense beginning to her new series."
