Happy Sunday y’all! This last week was little man’s first full week of school, first week with homework and quizzes, and y’all we are ALL tired. I filled in one day for the music teacher and got to see the whole school (except Kindergarten) at some point during the day. It was fun to see the kids, how much they’ve changed over the summer and hear their stories. Even though I’m not a full time employee, I do love getting to see the kiddos. I spent one day out in town with my mom, shopping and enjoying being kid free for a little while. I also made my first Christmas purchase, a cute little advent calendar. Now I’m ready to put out Fall decorations….that’s what I get for going to Hobby Lobby 😂

Reading wise, it was a slow week. I listened to one audiobook and read one (maybe I’ll have two read by the time this goes live). I’m filling in at school again this week, we have an ice cream social on Monday, and little man starts cross country practice in earnest so I expect another slow reading week in my future.

  1. Sounds like a good week! I love a day of shopping to be honest! Even if I come out empty handed, it’s usually fun just to shop around with someone at your side and look at things! I still need to get up to Hobby Lobby or even Michaels and check out their fall/Halloween decor!

OOoh nice new reads!! Super excited for Cold Falling White but since I’m backed up with review books I decided to pass on requesting that one, but I definitely can’t wait to read it after how the first one ended!

Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Jessica @ a GREAT read recently posted…Stacking the Shelves

    • That was me. I needed to get some clothes for little man, but not much else. It was fun to just shop around. I miss our Michaels. It closed last fall 😞
      Have a great week Jessica!

    • Cold Falling White is the sequel to Zero Repeat Forever (it came out a few years ago). Really good sci-fi/alien invasion if you like that genre 😉
It’s fun to be out cheering him on. He gets the biggest smile too when he completes his mile run. I’m glad he’s found something he enjoys doing.
      Have a great week Tressa!

  2. What a week! Also, OH MY GOD, I am so with you about Hobby Lobby. Funnily enough I took my mom there the other day for the autumn stuff and ended up with a couple of Christmas decorations instead? I had coupons and there was a sale and HONESTLY IT WAS SO PRETTY AND I’M WEAK and definitely should not be trusted in Hobby Lobby.

Oh, that cover for The Fire Prophecy is extremely eye-catching. I’m not sure what it is that has me completely swoon-worthy about it but dang it’s pretty. I’m excited to hear what you think! Hopefully you’re enjoy it, and the rest of your TBR. Happy reading!

    • That’s what happened to me! I was looking for some outside decorations for fall and wound up with an advent calendar and no fall decor 😂
