Amanda’s Weekly Update

First of all, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all you dads out there! Especially to my own Dad – he’s pragmatic, possessed of integrity, and so easy going. It was a privilege to be raised by you, Dadd-oo. And Happy Father’s Day (and also Happy Birthday) to my strong, amazing husband. You put up with a LOT between our wildlings and I. You are the best thing about being me – I get to share my life and my kids with a man like you. Thank you for being the anchor that brings me back to Earth, especially in the times we live in. I love you a whole lot.

As for what’s been going on this week? WELL. Remember that Chinese drama I told you about last week? I was mistaken, it wasn’t 40 episodes it was 49, FORTY NINE. It took forever to finish and it ended weird. I mean, it ended with a wedding and everyone lived happily ever after, but the wedding was super weird. On the plus side, I did get a good bunch of books this week! I’m excited to dive into my next book that Lillian and I are co-blogging, so be on the lookout for it in a couple of weeks! Also I got a new phone and it’s SUPER fancy and I SUPER love it. Kindle books look SO DOPE on it, and the speakers are perfect for some audio books! I can’t remember a more stressful week – but there were also some highlights. Hoping for a productive reading week!

What does a productive reading week look like for you? Two or three books? Finishing and reviewing one?

Lillian’s Weekly Update

Happy Sunday y’all! AND Happy Father’s Day 😊 We spent yesterday with my side of the family, celebrating my dad, grandaddy and husband. It was nice to see them. It’s been since January since I’ve seen my grandparents, and I missed them so much. Today we are cooking out with my husband’s side of the family, celebrating my father and brother-in-law and my husband. I’m looking forward to getting a hold of my nieces. I haven’t seen them since before everything shut down. Living with two boys, I like getting some girl time in with them.

Reading wise, it was a good week. I managed to finish three books (four if I finish my current read by tonight). It’s weird because I spent so much time this spring making myself read. So far the last two weeks I haven’t been able to read enough! That mojo I lost a few years back may finally be back.

Dewd, it’s so good. I love the world-building in this one. I’ve been putting off finishing the third book bc I know how Maas does her final wars and I’m not sure I’m emotionally up for it. But I missed the world (and Rhys, cuz he’s hot) so I’m indulging in the audiobook. Ill let you know how it goes!!
