Happy Sunday y’all and happy Father’s Day to those celebrating here in the US. We spent yesterday with my side of the family at my grandparents house. I feel very fortunate to still have them in my life. We had a good time visiting with everyone. Today we are taking it easy and trying to stay indoors. It’s beautiful but HOT. This week we’ll be spending a day in Nashville with the cousins to swim which I know my not-so-little man is looking forward to. Reading wise, it was a good week. I managed to finish three books though I’m teetering on DNFing my book club pick this month. It’s just not doing it for me.

    • It’s good so far! I read about a third of book two last night and I think it might be better than book one so far. I feel very fortunate to still have them and so glad they are able to know my son and he them. Hope you have a great week!

    • I’m excited to start it. I’ve heard great things about the author, and our tastes are similar so that just ups my excitement to know you enjoyed it 🙂

    • I’m excited to start it! I’ve heard great things about the author. And Lisa from Lisa Loves Literature granted my wish for it this week 🙂

  1. Yeah our heatwave came roaring in this week and it’s been positively miserable. I am looking forward to October when summer finally leaves us! Lol.

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

    Here’s my StS

    • Same here! It’s been near a hundred and between that and the humidity I’m melting 😅 It’s going to be slightly cooler this week but not much. I’m ready for fall weather or a pool that I can cool off in. I’d take either 😂

  2. So glad you have older relatives in your life – it makes such a difference to the younger members of the family, I think. Have a great week:).
