Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They’d love to share their lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
I have a confession to make…I have only read 1 series that is an author duo! This makes today’s topic hard! The topic is: “Top Ten Author Duos You’d LOVE To See Write A Book Together.” At least I thought it would be hard. I wound up having way more than I thought I would! These are in no particular order and link to their Amazon author page (affiliate link).
My Top Ten Dream Author Duets
I adored the Matched trilogy and The Selection by both of these authors! I’m a huge dystopian fan and these authors added a heavy dose of romance to their novels. I think together they could make something grand!
Charlaine Harris and Stephanie Meyer
Vampires!!! I loved both the Sookie Stackhouse series and the Twilight Saga. One is definitely for the adult crowd while the other is a pleasantly clean young adult. Together they could create a great New Adult series, at least that’s my opinion 😉
David Estes and Megan Thomason
Again I love dystopians! Each of these authors created very unique worlds. The Dwellers Saga and daynight encompass everything I love about dystopians. Together these authors could create an entirely new world!
Theresa Kay and Jennifer L Armentrout
A little alien love with these two. Kay created a dystopian surrounding her alien invasion and JLA’s Lux series needs no introduction 😉 I would love to see what the two could do together. I imagine something along the lines of epic romance and dystopia.
Laura Thalassa and Angela McPherson
Okay these two are among my favorite authors and I’m slightly biased when it comes to them. They write entirely different novels, but the romance is steamy (and semi-clean). I would love to see what they could create together with Thalassa’s fantasy elements and McPherson’s romance 😀 *cough*hint-hint you two 😉
Janet Evanovich and James Patterson
Another two of my all-time favorites! Evanovich is one of the first series I started reading as a high school student and one of the only ones I kept up with in college. I love her character Stephanie Plum! Patterson was my first introduction into adult fiction and I fell in love with his character Alex Cross. Imagine with me if you will a book with both Stephanie and Alex…I get giggly just thinking about it!
Mitch Albom and Nicholas Sparks
The two men who inevitably will make you cry in every single one of their novels. It’s inevitable, don’t try to stop it! Albom’s contemporary novels are inspiring and yes sometimes gut-wrenching (have you read For One More Day?!) And Sparks is known for his contemporary romance about love and loss. Combine these two with a case of tissue and I say we’ve got a great book!
Maas!!! Does she even need an intro? I don’t think so. Raasch doesn’t either. She’s made quite a name for herself with her epic fantasy Snow Like Ashes. I think the two of them combined could create a fantastic world full of suspense, drama, and romance. I would read it!
Kristin Cashore and Victoria Aveyard
Cashore is a new favorite of mine as is Aveyard. Both of their novels center on characters with special abilities, abilities they are born with and discriminated for. In addition to that the world building is phenomenal. I can only imagine what the two could create together, but I’m sure it would be great!!!
Sarah J Maas and Kristin Cashore
Ok I know, I cheated a bit using two authors I’ve already used…but seriously, these two would be awesome together. Maas’s Throne of Glass crossed with Cashore’s Graceling I’m drooling just thinking about it!
Your turn! What authors do you want to see write a book together? Comment below!
Oh my!! Sarah J.Maas and Kristen Cashore, that totally needs to happen. I think Kristen Cashore and Victoria Aveyard would really complement each other, basically want more book from these authors but if they were to work together that would be even better!!

OOoh Maas and Aveyard would be good! I still need to read Red Queen, but it sounds like a good idea! LOL!

Great list! I haven’t read most of these authors, but some of these pairings look amazing! If only they’d really happen!
Great list. I’m with you…I’d like to see these two, Mitch Albom and Nicholas Sparks, create a book together. It would be amazing.
I haven’t read Sarah J Maas’ books, but from what I know of the Throne series, her and Kristen Cashore would be a dream match up!
