Happy Sunday everyone! This week my hubby was in Puerto Rico for a conference so it was just little man and me. To be honest, it was lonely. I’d much rather have my husband home to eat dinner with, binge Netflix, and to tease me on all my book quirks.

Regardless, little man and I had a good week. It’s allergy season in East TN so we are both sniffly, little man more than me. I’m glad that this year though we have a remedy for his cough (aka ASTHMA). Last year was rough, this year is much better. I’ve only had to use his inhaler a couple of times this week and even though he’s sniffly he is acting himself. YAY!!!

Reading wise I finally started the Mortal Instruments series this week. I LOVE IT!!!! If I didn’t have some books to read for tours/beta reads, I would have spent the week binge reading the entire series. Since that wasn’t the case, I did at least read City of Bones. What did you read this week?

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading Ashfall by Mike Mullins as a group read with the 2016 Dystopian Reading Challenge. So far I really like it. It’s one of those dystopians that is so eerily close to reality that it’s scary! Highly recommend it 😀

I’m also reading the Mail Order Bride box set, which contains 6 novellas (each around 100-130 pages) one of which is by a favorite author of mine. I’m a sucker for historical romance and I am in love with these little novellas. Each one is such a treat! I only have one left so by the time you read this I may be done.

What are you reading this week?

I’m sleeping in this morning because late last night I picked my husband up from the airport….here’s hoping little man gets the memo. No special plans this week. I have several tour books I’m going to be reading, but other than that not much. I will be cleaning out closets and start the process of packing for our move. *shudder* Just the thought makes me cringe. I cleaned out little man’s closet and my part of the closet yesterday, taking 6 oversized garbage bags to the local Goodwill. I’m sure there will be plenty more!

What are you doing this week?

  1. I’m glad to hear your husband is back. I can definitely understand the lonely feel. When I work the evening shift, I don’t get to see my boyfriend at all except for when I go to bed. When I have more than one evening shift we don’t really ‘see’ each other for days.. It sucks. At least I could sleep next to him I suppose.

Awesome that your allergies are better this year. 😉

I have to work the nightshift this week but I hope I’ll also be able to read a lot. I looooved the Mortal Instrument series!! I hope you’ll be able to keep on reading 😉

  2. When my husband is out of town I miss his company too. Also I have a hard time sleeping, probably because I’m scared being there without him lol. It’s good to hear your husband arrived home safely. Good luck with the packing. I have to clean out our clothes too and I hate doing it lol. I hope you have a great week!
