Happy Sunday y’all! So I was going to talk about what a great week it was, how I’m all ready for homeschooling tomorrow, and that I got a lot of reading done. All of that is true…except the week ended not at all how I expected. On Friday, my husband went to work as normal, but he came home that afternoon without a job. He was called into HR at the end of the work day and told that his position was being terminated without cause (they are downsizing is what he was told). So yeah….that was how the week ended. We feel fortunate. He is getting a severance pay that will keep us afloat for a few months (longer if I budget super tight…which I plan too). To say I’m shocked is an understatement. To be honest I’m kinda numb. I know that this is a blessing in disguise and something better is coming, but the stress of not knowing is already weighing on us. Prayers and good vibes much appreciated friends.

I will pray for your family, Lillian. I am so sorry you are going through this. My husband lost his job a few years ago out of the blue, and so I understand some of what you must be feeling. I hope he is able to find something soon.

I’m so sorry we have had it happen twice, except the companies went bankrupt with out warning so there was never severance pay or anything. I hope he finds another job quickly.

Sorry to hear about your husband! I’m sure he’ll find something soon. At least you have a few months for him to find something he really wants. That’s a blessing!

So sorry to hear about that. My last job ended that way as well…in January too. I’m still trying to find my own new job as my current one is no longer compatible and I fear being removed in a similar way as I still have no clear role after 8 months of this. Wishing you and your husband and family all the best!
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones. I hope you enjoy them all!

Ugh!!! That is so terrible, I’m sorry! Really hoping your husband can find something else, and soon! Try not to panic, and consider this an opportunity to find something better.
2020 is going good on my end. I’m currently reading ‘The Wicked King’ and quite liking it, but I’m not able to read much because I’ve got a plate full at the mo. Raising a toddler. 😬❤️
