Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together
Happy Tuesday y’all! This week’s topic is in honor of Top Ten Tuesday turning 10! The topic is “Pick a past TTT topic you’ve done and re-do/update it.” I’ve spent the last week looking through my past TTT posts. While I haven’t posted every week, I have been posting since 2014. I decided to go with one of my first posts. The topic was “Top New Series I Want To Start (New..let’s say within the last year or two).” Let’s get to it shall we 😉
Series I Needed to Start….Update
The White Rabbit Chronicles by Gena Showalter: I still need to start this one. It’s been on my list since before I had a blog. I actually own it…and yet I still haven’t read it. Maybe this Halloween.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas: I can’t believe that there was ever a time where I hadn’t read this series. Clearly SJM is one of my favorite authors, and in the last six years I’ve read everything the woman has written and will continue to do so. Throne of Glass will always be one of my top favorite fantasy series.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer: My first foray into retellings and one of my all-time favorites. I adore this series! I finally got around to reading it before Winter was released. I devoured it. Two years ago my husband bought me the complete set for my bookshelf along with Meyer’s other series. Now to make time to read Renegades.
The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout: Six years ago I didn’t know who JLA was or what JLA meant. Now I do. Lux will always be my favorite because it was my first JLA series. Since then I’ve read the sequel series, The Dark Elements, and its sequel series. My next is going to be Covenant. Like SJM, JLA is one of my favorites and now an auto-buy author.
The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo: Sad to admit, but I have not read this series yet. I have read (and loved) Six of Crows, and I think I have Amanda convinced to read this trilogy with me before the Netflix show airs later this year.
The Testing Trilogy by Joelle Charbonneau: I honestly don’t even remember this series. How sad is that?! When I first started blogging, dystopian was my go to. While I still love the genre, it isn’t my go-to anymore. This one may never get read.
Timebound by Rysa Walker: I did finally pick this one up to read it, and I’m so sad to report that for me it just didn’t work. I ended up DNFing it.
Sunset Rising by S.M. McEachern: Sadly I don’t remember this series in the slightest. I’m afraid it is getting moved to the may never read pile.
Forever Evermore by Scarlett Dawn: Confession time….Scarlett is one of my go-to authors. I love her writing. I still haven’t read this series 🤦♀️ I did, however, start with book 4 of the series. Not really sure how I managed that one, but I did. One of these days I plan to binge the whole thing!
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard: Still love the covers, still haven’t read it. Sadly I don’t know what this series is about so it’s going in the may never read pile.

My TTT.
Lydia recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Books Linked to Specific Memories in My Life
I loved the Lunar Chronicles series as well, although I haven’t read all the spin-off books or anything else by Meyer. Maybe someday. I really liked the first book in the Outlander series, but I never moved on with the series for some reason. It’s been so long since I read it that I would have to re-read it in order to remember the story and I just don’t see that happening. Oh well
Happy TTT!

Great post and great list – glad you loved these series!
My TTT is here: Books I wish I had read as a child. https://bookloverssanctuary.com/2020/06/23/top-ten-tuesday-turns-ten-books-i-wish-i-had-read-as-a-child/
Oh no no no no! Don’t say Something Strange and Deadly might go into the “may never read” pile! It’s about ZOMBIES!!! In…Victorian times? I think it was Victorian age, ish. It’s in the past and omg it was amazing!!!! It’s still a series I can distantly think about…mostly with its ending, because omg. Still not over that one!
Liking your other picks too! Loooved the Lux series, I think, I want to say I started with her Covenant series then started the Lux around book 2…maybe 3…and then I had that disastrous wait for the fourth book…eek!!! I think I didn’t want to pick it up right away because I thought it would too much like a Roswell (the original TV version, as the book was a tiny bit different) wannabe and I loved Roswell! Lol. So wrong, so very wrong and I am glad I gave it a read because there’s nothing cooler than reading about a reader…and a blogging one at that!!
I remember reading Cinder and not quite getting it…but then I relented and gave Scarlet a try and was hooked thereafter! Such a great series!
I loved The White Rabbit Chronicles! I was able to read books 1-3 as ARCs and was thrilled by that and I finally read the fourth book this year I think. It’s been a crazy year so far! Lol. It was definitely a fun series!
Leigh’s Grisha trilogy was fun too! I nearly binged that one…as in I read books 1 & 2 back to back and a few months to wait for book 3. It’s a bit of a blur when trying to reflect, but I liked it a lot and stoked for the Netflix series! Lol. SoC and CK was amazing too! I’m waiting for KoS to be an official duology–still is as far as I’ve heard–and for the second book to be out so I can binge that one too! Have learned that it’s best to binge duologies…no matter the author it seems! Lol.
I’ll admit Shatter Me isn’t a series for everyone. I’m honestly a little shocked at myself for having read it all. I enjoyed it. Though as I recall that final final book still had me questioning what happened with certain characters and that annoyed me…a second time as I believe the first trilogy kind of did that too.
Great picks all around! This was a rather fun topic this week. But from the few posts I’ve visited not too many people participated. Also seems like a lot of us chose similar topics too! Lol.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Ok, you convinced me with zombies and Victorian times to add Something Strange and Deadly back to the TBR. 😉 I’m a sucker for both those things!
YAY!!
Great list! I spot several series I need to finish too (Lunar Chronicles, Thrones of Glass). Once upon a time, I read the first four books by Cassandra Clare, but I never continued on. I recently reread City of Bones in the hopes of completing it, finally!
I’m hoping to finish TMI this year….I really hope that is. 😅
