Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s that time of the week again where I get to make a list. I <3 Lists 😀 So this weeks topic is “Top Ten Books I Really Want To Read But Don’t Own Yet.” This one took a little bit of thinking for me, because as I confessed last week I’m the world’s worst one-clicker on Amazon. So I own way to many books, all of them I want to read, but there’s just not enough time in a day. Also, just a little FYI, this list is a bit repetitive from earlier lists this month.

Top Ten Books I Really Want to Read but Don’t Own Yet

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

I’ve heard this series is really good, but I’ve never cared much for angel mythology. It’s kind of a new genre for me this year and so far I’ve only read two series I really liked (Dark Angel by Hanna Peach and Rise of the Fallen by Sean Hayden, both are unique and really make the world their own.)

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I like love young adult dystopians! It’s my guilty pleasure read. I can sit down with one and finish it in just under a day, usually sacrificing sleep to do so. I’ve put off reading this series simply because I’ve been reading so much dystopians lately that the characters are starting to run together. With the movie coming out soon though, I really want to read it!

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

My secret love is historical fiction. It’s like a vice for me. I gotta have it! So this may come as a shock to you, but I had never heard of this series until earlier this year with the hype surrounding the Starz production. With lots of people telling me I have to read it, I think it’s time I bite the bullet and find a library to give this book a try.

Icons by Margaret Stohl

I loved the Beautiful Creatures series co-written by this author so when I saw that she had written a new book, one with a dystopian theme I just gotta have it! The problem and the reason I haven’t bought it yet are the reviews. The reviews are just meh! So I’m hesitant to say the least about spending my money.

Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris

I’m a huge Sookie Stackhouse fan and since I finished the series last year I’ve been missing Ms. Harris’s writing. With her new release, I’ve been on the fence and going back and forth about whether I should read it or not. Money has been the deciding factor as to why I don’t own it 😛

Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Again this is a young adult dystopian, so no brainer as to why I want to read it. But why don’t I already own it? Because the reviews have been either 5 star or 1 star. It seems people either love or hate this series. What do you think?

angel

Angel Evolution by David Estes

I became familiar with this author’s work earlier in the summer and I can’t get enough. I love his Dwellers Saga and even though I don’t care for angel books I really want to read more of his work.

TBS-Cover

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

This book has been on my recommended list on Goodreads for months and the cover looks awesome! For that reason alone I wanted to read it, then I read the synopsis. Now I have to read it!

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I love odd re-tellings of fairy tales and Cinderella as a cyborg intrigues me. Plus I feel like I’m missing out. So many of my fellow book bloggers have read and love this book. It’s time I follow the crowd for once 😉

Lightning-Thief

The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan

A former patient of mine loved this series, long before it was a movie. Books were the one thing I could relate to him with so needless to say we talked a lot! He was always on me to find and read this book, and I never found the time. Now that the entire series is out and available, I’d like to read them.

I think it’s time to go invest in a library card. Then maybe I could read all the books I wanted. Now if someone only knew how to either make me read faster or add more hours to the day I’d be set 😀 What books do you really want to read but don’t own yet?

  1. I LOVE CINDER 😀 Yes you should definitely read it because it’s one of the best retellings I’ve ever read! I’ve been wanting to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, These Broken Stars, and Maze Runner (which already has a movie out this September, and I haven’t read it yet huhu). Happy reading xx
