Happy Sunday y’all! This week has wore me out! Seriously, I went to sleep at 8:30 on the couch Friday night and slept til almost 10 Saturday morning ? I guess it was needed though because I feel some better. It was such a busy week. I spent most of the week at my son’s school helping to set up the book fair and make treats for Grandparents’ Day. It was worth it though. The kids had fun and the Book Fair seemed to be a success. Earlier this week one of my cousins had a little boy and yesterday I went to a shower for another cousin who is having a little girl. Lots of new babies in the family 😀 Today is my hubby’s birthday and we are spending it with his family.
Reading wise I didn’t read as much this week. I managed to read two, almost three books this week and didn’t listen to any as I really wasn’t home much during the day. I’m hoping for a more laid back week this week.

This Week’s Book Fix
What are you reading this week?
My goal this week is to do nothing. I have so much that needs to be done at the house, like laundry and deep cleaning. I need to be able to be home some while little man is at school and get things done. I’m hoping to get a little reading in as well. What about y’all? What do you have planned?
I was always so excited when the book fair came to school. It must be nice to be part of bringing that joy to your child’s school. I hope to read Odd & True soon. I have it slated for a reading challenge and I have heard really good things.

I don’t think our school does a grandparents day anymore. Huh. Hope you get your quiet week.

Oh I loved the book fairs at school!!! Those were the best! As a teacher, I miss teaching elementary because I loved checking out the book fair with my students. High school kids don’t get book fairs. But, we did have a grandparents day breakfast and that was fun!
Have a great week!

I don’t know what time I went to sleep on Friday, sometime between 9 and 10, and I slept until 11:30…right through the family reunion. To my credit, no one in my family breathed a word of it…so you forget! And then I snoozed on the couch until 2 or 3. I was worn out! So many babies! Usually, ours come in twos or threes, too. Although now we’re a little stagnant. Waiting on me and my brothers…might be a wait!
I love that you volunteered for the book fair and to make the treats for Grandparent’s Day. I think I would love volunteering in the school better than working in it. 😉
Blimey – reading about what you were doing this week – it’s a wonder you managed to open a book at all! It sounds like a thoroughly worthwhile book – I used to love Book Week and the book fair and seeing children so excited and lit up about books… I hope this coming week is less hectic. Odd & True seems like a very interesting one 🙂 I couldn’t grab it as an ARC! Now everyone’s got good opinions on it, maybe I should grab it 🙂
Anyway, have a great week!
