Amanda’s Weekly Update

Ya’ll. Why is it so hot??? 😭😭 Send ice cream….

Trips to the gym with all three kids have been interesting this week, but I think I have it down to a system I can work with. It’s hard after you’ve been getting your butt kicked by a squat rack to then have to pack up the children (who are whining about how they don’t want to leave) and trudge across a hot parking lot, lugging all our giant bags of crap (diaper bag, snacks, and gym bag) and very cute, but heavy 14 month old. Leaving the gym is AS EXHAUSTING as training.  But I think I have it figured out, now 😅 . The two best things about this week were that we had three hazardous trees removed for only $400 (how does that happen) and that I got to go train with my powerlifting coach. I adore my coach and it’s really a treat to train with him – that immediate feedback and encouragement is PRICELESS. AND he told me my bench was flawless, and my deadlift form is perfect. Also priceless, since this block is a lot of conditioning, which is omg real hard and stuff. You need that bit of positive feedback to stay motivated and focused. And it’s so nice to not have to worry about those trees! Especially with these summer storms, and the fact that those trees were leaning right over my bedroom 🤪🤪. Ready to wrap up some lovely books this week, and kill these workouts (which won’t be as hard this week).  My mood today is “rest and recover and try not to eat all the junk foods”. I just want to curl up with a book and an iced coffee with Halloween movies playing in the background…is it too soon for that?

Lillian’s Weekly Update

Happy Sunday y’all! Monday was our wedding anniversary, and we had a great week. My husband surprised me with beautiful flowers, and then Vudu was having a sale so we wound up with a Wayne’s World bundle. No joke, we watched Wayne’s World on our anniversary and I’m not sorry. It’s been too hot to do anything outside this week. Also rain….lots of rain. My poor yard needed to be mowed. If we waited much longer, we would have had to borrow a tractor and bushhog it 😂 But it’s mowed, the weedeating isn’t done. That decided to quit working halfway through. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Reading wise it was a good week. I managed to read three books this week and get through half of an audiobook. Any audiobook recs for next week? I’m coming to an end on my audio tbr.

Yes girl!! The encouragement was just what I needed!! I’m not sure yet what to make of Clare’s latest installment, but you can bet I’ll let ya know! 😉

Have a wonderful week, Genesis!! ❤❤

  1. Sounds like a good workout Amanda! Glad you’re doing well in the training! And yay for tree removal! That sounds like a good deal too. We had one massive tree in our front yard that was removed maybe a year ago now, and it was likely more than that. I can’t really remember, but I am pretty sure my stepdad got a good deal for the work that had to be done!

Congrats Lillian! Glad you two had a nice quiet night in! Nothing’s ever wrong with that! And Wayne’s World! I haven’t watched those movies in years!

Nice new reads too ladies! I remember reading most of the Modern Faerie books a few years ago, like looooong time ago ago! Lol. Tithe was my first faerie book many many moons ago and was the book that got me hooked into them I’d say! Lol!

Hope you two enjoy your new reads and have a great week!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Ooohhh, girl!! When my husband called and said they were offering to cut them down and haul them away for THAT?! I said, HECK YEAH cut them thangs down! Normally it’s would’ve been 2g+ job. Maybe we will be able to grow grass now! 😂

Have such a good week, Jessica! ❤
