Happy Sunday y’all and Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s not only the start of another year but also a new decade. A friend of mine shared a meme on Facebook this week that said it is now the same amount of time since 1990 as it is 2050. I mean that really put it into perspective for me. Time is so relative now. I feel like the 90’s were yesterday, not thirty years ago! But I digress.

This has been a great week. My team won their bowl game #GBO which was a nice way to end the season after losing their season opener. My husband and I started DDPYoga this week and are on our third workout. I’m down six pounds though that may not be the yoga so much as the stomach virus I ended the week with 😅 Reading wise I’ve crossed off three books on my TBR so far this year alone and I’m happy with that: two ebooks and one audiobook. I’m hoping to keep the momentum going, but we will see.

This week I’m cleaning out the office to convert it to a homeschool room and taking down the Christmas decorations which always makes me sad. Next weekend we are having our final Christmas get together with family (Yep 2019’s holiday is spilling into 2020), and I’m looking forward to hosting and seeing everyone.

  1. Fae Hunter looks good and I like the cover. In fact I like all the pretty covers! I feel the same way about taking down the decorations. ugh. Sentimental and reminiscent of the reason for the season I guess. I wish it was Christmas all the time lol. I mean I hear it’s a party all the time in Heaven so why does it have to end? 🙂

    • So far Fae Hunter is really good and a quick read. I’m through about half of it now and hope to finish today. If you like YA fantasy, I’d recommend it.
I’d be perfectly fine with Christmas all the time. Hope you have a great week Jackie!

  2. Congratulations on your weight loss! And on your team winning the bowl game. I was supposed to take our Christmas decorations down today, but didn’t manage it. My mom left this morning for home, and having the house to ourselves again feels so nice. I do miss her though. Fae Hunter sounds like a good read. I hope you are enjoying it!

I hope you enjoy the All Souls Trilogy! I added Beholder and Spin the Dawn to my wish list after seeing your TBR poll on FB. I ended up voting for Spin the Dawn, but I want you to read both so I know if I should read them. They both sound good!

I hope you have a great week!

    • Not only did my college team win, my NFL team won their wildcard game 🙌 It was my week in football 😉
It’s always sad to see family leave especially when you don’t live close. I hated it when my parents would leave after a visit. It was worse once we had little man because he would just cry when his nana left. I hope you had a good visit!
The Beholder is on sale for $1.99 on Kindle if you’re interested 😉 That’s how I grabbed a copy.
Hope you have a great week!

  3. My husband asked to do Yoga with me, not sure if he was serious or not but I will have to give that one a look since I have heard so much about it.

What made you decided to do home schooling? A lot of people I know are doing that now, I wish I could but I don’t think I am a good teaching type. 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful week, Lillian! Happy Reading! xx

    • I really like the DDP yoga. It’s easy to do, the instructor shows a ton of modifications so you can do all the exercises and tailor it to you, and it’s encouraging because he uses people who have been successful with the program in the videos.

We debated homeschooling before Liam ever started school, but over the last two years he’s really struggled comprehending the material taught. I spend a good two or three hours after school retracting him what he didn’t understand (this is mainly math). His grades have continued to slip this year, and we just felt he wasn’t getting what he needed. I’m nervous because I’ve never taught this age (I taught high school briefly), but also I’m excited. My son is a hands on learner which now that he is in third they don’t do as much. I think this is why he struggled so much last semester. I’m hoping that incorporating the hands on back into the curriculum will help him. We didn’t want him falling behind now because it would really be a struggle by the time he reaches middle school.

Hope you have a great week too Michelle ☺️

    • I’ve heard great things about it. I was happy to find it on sale too.
I really like The Darkest Minds trilogy. That second book is really good. I love Cole! Hope you enjoy it!
