Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event originally created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. Jill has been MIA since August of 2016. Despite this, the meme lives on….Hope you come back Jill! Until then I will be joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can’t-Wait Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday y’all! This week I’m eagerly waiting on Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff. I loved the first book of this series! I cannot wait to dive back into the world with this crew. And that cliffhanger…y’all it was brutal! I’m ready to know what’s next for them. If you enjoy space operas, dry humor, and adventure, I highly recommend it!
Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman, Jay KristoffSeries: The Aurora Cycle #2
Published by Knopf Books for Young Readers on 2020-05-05
Length: 512 pages
Our heroes are back… kind of. From the bestselling co-authors of the Illuminae Files comes the second book in the epic series about a squad of misfits, losers, and discipline cases who just might be the galaxy’s best hope for survival.
First, the bad news: an ancient evil—you know, your standard consume-all-life-in-the-galaxy deal—is about to be unleashed. The good news? Squad 312 is standing by to save the day. They’ve just got to take care of a few small distractions first.
Like the clan of gremps who’d like to rearrange their favorite faces.
And the cadre of illegit GIA agents with creepy flowers where their eyes used to be, who’ll stop at nothing to get their hands on Auri.
Then there’s Kal’s long-lost sister, who’s not exactly happy to see her baby brother, and has a Syldrathi army at her back. With half the known galaxy on their tails, Squad 312 has never felt so wanted.
When they learn the Hadfield has been found, it’s time to come out of hiding. Two centuries ago, the colony ship vanished, leaving Auri as its sole survivor. Now, its black box might be what saves them. But time is short, and if Auri can’t learn to master her powers as a Trigger, the squad and all their admirers are going to be deader than the Great Ultrasaur of Abraaxis IV.
Shocking revelations, bank heists, mysterious gifts, inappropriately tight bodysuits, and an epic firefight will determine the fate of the Aurora Legion’s most unforgettable heroes—and maybe the rest of the galaxy as well.

The first book, Aurora Rising, was so I have high hopes for this one ☺️
Oh nice! I still need to read Aurora Rising, but I think waiting might have been a good thing, if past experience with Amie and Jay has taught me! Lol!
Here’s my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It was my first Amie and Jay experience, and it was brutal….but in a good way 😉
Love the cover and it sounds really amazing too!
My CWW
The first was fantastic so I have high hopes for this next one!
I’m glad you mentioned cliffhanger . . . I really want to give this series a try, and I don’t have a lot of patience with cliffhangers–so I like to have as many of the books as possible before I actually read the series. I’m not good at waiting. LOL I hope you love this one when you read it!

Yeah the first book leaves you feeling a bit distressed 😅 I’ll be glad to continue the series in a few weeks. It’s one of my favorites!
I’ve really got to finish their other series! Great pick!
Check out my Wednesday post
I adore this cover. In fact, I actually purchased the first book in the series after I saw this one. Now have I read it? Nope. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want this one!
The first is fantastic! I have this one on preorder. Can’t wait to dig in
