WoW #215 – Like a Love Song

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event originally created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. Jill has been MIA since August of 2016. Despite this, the meme lives on….Hope you come back Jill! Until then I will be joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can’t-Wait Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday y’all! This week I’m eagerly waiting on Like a Love Song by Gabriela Martins. I am a sucker for celebrity romances. I don’t know what it is about that trope, but I enjoy it. This one is focused on a singer. After a humiliating, public break up, her PR team comes up with a fake boyfriend who also happens to be in the limelight. This will benefit them both in getting them extra PR and attention, but can they keep from falling in love for real? Doubt it 😉 and that’s why I’ll be reading! What do you think?

Length: 304 pages

This debut paperback original romance follows a Latina teen pop star whose image takes a dive after a messy public breakup, until she’s set up with a swoon-worthy fake boyfriend.

Fake boyfriend. Real heartbreak?

Natalie is living her dream: topping the charts and setting records as a Brazilian pop star…until she’s dumped spectacularly on live television. Not only is it humiliating—it could end her career.

Her PR team’s desperate plan? A gorgeous yet oh-so-fake boyfriend. Nati reluctantly agrees, but William is not what she expected. She was hoping for a fierce bad boy—not a soft-hearted British indie film star. While she fights her way back to the top with a sweet and surprisingly swoon-worthy boy on her arm, she starts to fall for William—and realizes that maybe she’s the biggest fake of them all. Can she reclaim her voice and her heart?
