Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They’d love to share their lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Yay for Tuesdays! I really love this blog meme. If you have a blog and have never participated, I suggest you do. It’s a ton of fun and a great way to connect with other readers 🙂
Okay enough of my fangirling…I was so sad that I didn’t get to participate last week, but I loved reading everyone’s list of sequels. I added several to my own! This week’s topic is “Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR” which wasn’t hard at all 😉 I have way too many books I’m excitedly, not-so patiently waiting for. As always, my list is in no particular order and the titles link to Goodreads.
My Winter To-Be-Read List
Dead of Winter (The Arcana Chronicles, #3) by Kresley Cole – I am so excited about this book! I have been anxiously waiting on it since the terrible, awful cliffhanger at the end of book two…I have to know what will happen to Jack, Evie, and Death 😯
Addiction (Distraction, #2) by Angela McPherson – I so adored book one of this series. Contemporary romance/new adult isn’t usually my go-to genre, but Tristan and Elle are so well-written that I feel like they are real and my best friends 😀 I can’t wait to see where there relationship goes.
Hope Rising (Of Love and War, #2) by Stacy Henrie – Historical fiction is my vice, and this author captured me with book one of the series. I loved it from the first word to the last and I can’t wait to dive into more stories set during WWI.
The Forsaken (The Unearthly, #4) by Laura Thalassa – Another book I’ve been anxiously waiting on. What is it with authors and cliffhangers?! I need to know what is going to happen to Andre and Gabrielle like yesterday!
The Magician’s Lie by Greer Macallister – This is a purely cover-love pick and is being compared to Water for Elephants which I loved. It has big shoes to fill if it is going to live up to that comparison and I’m excited to read it!
Scripted by Maya Rock – This was my Waiting on Wednesday pick a couple of weeks ago. I ♥︎ dystopian fiction and the description for this book has me going “Gimme, gimme!” Also, it comes out close to my birthday (hint, hint Babe 😉 )
Ensnared by A. G. Howard – So technically I’ve not read any of this series, but I really desperately want to. And what better time to do so than when book three of the trilogy is coming out…
Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen – Another cover-love pick, but also the synopsis…”The day she falls in love for the first time, Sarah will transform into a beast . . . unless she can figure out a way to break the curse forever.” Ummm….who doesn’t want to read it after that?!
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare – I now have a library card (yay!!!!) which means all these series I’ve been wanting to read but couldn’t afford to buy all the books to go with I can now read for free. So look out! I plan to devour this series 😀 I just hope it lives up to the enormous expectations I have for it after all the raving around the blogosphere.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer – Another series I can’t wait to sink my teeth into! And I plan to make time to do so this winter. I love fantasy, combine it with sci-fi, and now also a fairy-tale retelling and I’m sold. Three cheers for the library 🙂
Your Turn!
So I have high-hopes for this winter. And a lot of reading to do 😉 What books do you plan on hibernating with this winter?
Merry Mondays is Coming…
Merry Mondays starts next week on December 1st! What is Merry Mondays? Why I’m glad you asked 😀 It’s a weekly feature for the month of December that I’m super-excited about. Each week will have a different theme all centered around Christmas and the holiday season. Want to participate? Click here for the dates and topics. Also if you participate, be sure to come back here and link-up your post!
Okay, everytime I see Beastkeeper I get more and more convinced to read it even though I thought I was tired of fairytale-esque books for awhile. Guess I’ll just have to take the plunge all over again.

I know what you mean! But the cover and the synopsis have me hooked. Can’t wait for it 🙂
THE MAGICIAN’S LIE is on my radar, too, though I didn’t put it on my list. WATER FOR ELEPHANTS meets NIGHT CIRCUS? Um, YES! ENSNARED also didn’t make my list…barely! I need to read all three, too! I’ve been waiting! BEASTKEEPER in on my list! And Marissa Meyer’s FAIREST!

Beastkeeper kind of sounds like the reverse of Beasts and Maidens by M.E. Timmons. I’ll have to check it out. Good luck with your winter reading!

[…] Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s that time of the week again…you know my favorite time when I get to make a list This week’s topic was too easy. In fact I had to narrow it down to ten which in itself made the topic hard. The topic is “Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward To In 2015.” Without further ado, here’s my list. As always it is in no particular order and titles link to Goodreads Oh yeah and several of these are repeats from last week’s Top Ten. […]
