What a week! It’s officially Football Time in Tennessee 😀 and my Vols are looking good so far this year!* I’m excited to see what this young team does with their season.

*I stand by this statement despite the horrible loss to Oklahoma last night

Last weekend I missed you guys! I was out of town visiting the family and I didn’t realize til I got home on Monday that NONE of my posts from the weekend posted!!! Oh well, I figured that gave me a little free posts for this week 😉

Little man has had a rough week with allergies and so have we! The pollen and mold count in East TN is high this time of year and we can so tell. Thankful for a cool weekend…it’s beginning to feel like fall around here. It’s only supposed to reach 68 today!

I was a little slow reading this week. I took some time out from my review books to read Sarah J Maas’s Queen of Shadows and now I have a massive book hangover. By far one of the best books I’ve read this year and now we have to wait another year to learn more!! What did you read this week?

Currently Reading

I started this one last night. So far it is good. I enjoy Hanna Peach’s books and the writing is good. This one is about a mail order bride. I’m about three chapters in and she hasn’t met her new husband yet. I’m starting to get anxious for her!

I’m excited for this week! BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) starts back on Wednesday. I’ve really missed it this summer. It’s nice getting together with women of all ages and studying. Last year we studied the life of Moses. This year is the book of Revelation 😀 BSF is international, so if you’re curious if there is one in your area, head over to their website: bsfinternational.org

Blogging wise I’m back to reading some review books. I’m excited about a few, they look promising!

And my sweet hubby turns the big 3-0 this week! I think I’m going to try and surprise him with something…don’t know what yet. I’ll keep you posted 😉 What are you up to this week?

  1. My allergies are kicking my ass this year, I am never this bad but my sinuses are killing me. I can’t wait for the cooler weather this week was brutal.

I had such an issue with book 3 that I am scared to read Queen of Shadows because I feel like I will hate it and with 600+ pages I am very nervous.

I hope you have a great week, Lillian! Happy Reading! ox

  2. That must be frustrating noticing your posts didn’t post, but at leats you could use them for this week. I hope the football team you’re routing for does well this year. Here in the Netherlands soccer and ice skating is more popular, but I don’t watch either as I am not really a sports person.

I hope your son’s allergies will get less soon. The weather is getting cooler here as well, which is welcome after the warm summer we had. I hope you’ll have a great week and enjoy your new books! The cover for The Hunted looks intriguing and a bit creepy at the same time.

  3. I’ve been eyeballing Mistress of Tallacre on a few blogs, but I don’t want to get myself over obligated with reviews. I think I’ll just get it from the library when I have time. The pollen and humidity here last week had me locked in my house with the a/c just so I could breathe. (I have major lung issues.) Have a good week now that Autumn seems to be on the way.

  4. My allergies are just starting to ramp up as well and I know as soon as they start harvesting the cotton I’m done for. I don’t know if it’s the fibers that get stirred up or the chemicals that they spray on it or a combination but it’s brutal every year. That’s too bad about the Vols loss but they do seem to be showing some promise. I’m an Auburn fan and this year they appear to be trying to induce heart attacks on all of us. Barely scraping out a win to JSU? Craziness. Have a great week!
