Mom-Top Ten

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They’d love to share their lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

It’s officially Fall y’all 😀 and this week’s topic is “Books On My Fall TBR List.” There are a ton of series enders coming this Fall and some new releases from my favorite authors. I’m so excited for these books. It was hard to narrow my list to only ten! Here’s my top ten TBR books, coming this Fall, in order by release date. Covers link to Amazon (affiliate).

2016 Fall TBR List

Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch (Release Sept. 20): This is the final book in the Snow Like Ashes series and to be honest I’m sad to see the series end. I’ve enjoyed this high fantasy dystopian. I’m anxious to see how it ends!

The Midnight Star by Marie Lu (Release Oct. 11): Another series ender. I’m sad to see this one end too. I’ve loved (or maybe that’s not the right word) reading the spiral of Adelina. Her struggles to do what is right and good and her inevitable fall to becoming a villain. Excellent writing! I’m a little scared to read this one though. I’m not sure how much darker Adelina can get….

Twisted Palace by Erin Watt (Release Oct. 17): There’s not even a blurb yet for this book but after the ending of Broken Prince I needed it like yesterday 😀 I cannot wait to read more about the Royals. This is the ultimate dysfunctional family yet you can’t help but love them.

The Blessed Knights by Mary Ting (Release Oct. 28): I really enjoyed the first two books of this series and the first left in a cliffhanger. I’m so glad that I don’t have to wait much longer to find out what happens!

A Million Worlds with You by Claudia Gray (Release Nov. 1): Another final book. I adore this series. I love the different parallel universes and how the characters interact in each. I’m anxious after the cliffhanger ending of the last book to find out what’s happened to all the characters in this one. Seriously Meg and Paul, Theo? Where are they?!

Heartless by Marissa Meyer (Release Nov. 8): Loved the Lunar Chronicles and I’m super-excited to read Meyer’s take on Alice in Wonderland.

The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer (Release Nov. 8): I’m one of the few people (I think anyways) that still love Twilight. I can’t wait for this new book by Meyer. I loved Twilight and The Host, can’t wait to see what the author has in store.

Turbo Twenty-Three by Janet Evanovich (Release Nov. 15): While Stephanie Plum is getting a bit predictable, I can’t resist reading another story. They are just too fun!

Crown of Cinders by Rebecca Ethington (Release Nov. 28): The series ender I’ve been waiting on. I’m scared and sad and SO excited to see what will happen 😀 Ilyan, Jos, Ryland, Thom, Wyn…..eek!!!! I just hope for no deaths…

Spindle by E.K. Johnston (Release Dec. 6): I really enjoyed this author’s retelling of A Thousand Nights. It was beautifully written and so when I saw she has a new retelling, this time Sleeping Beauty, I couldn’t resist. So excited 😀

  1. I didn’t realize that Stephenie Meyers had a new book out…sounds completely different from her others. I haven’t read the Host yet, but I enjoyed Twilight…course I haven’t reread it lately, so I don’t know how it would stand up to what I read now.

I’m also looking forward to the Imdalind series finish, but I will confess I’ve only read the first 2 books… I was waiting to get back to it after it was finished, b/c I’m a rereader when I read series, so since it’s a lot of books, I thought I would save my reread til I could read it right through.
