Sorry if you’ve been looking for this post….my site was down over the weekend and apparently nothing posted 🙁 Thanks for bearing with me!
Merry Mondays is a weekly meme hosted here @ Mom With a Reading Problem during the month of December to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. Each week a different topic centered around the holidays will be discussed.
Only 5 more days til Christmas! I cannot believe that! My son is getting antsy. We’ve been doing an advent countdown and he is getting so excited for Christmas morning 😀 School (for us) will be out starting tomorrow through the 9th so I’m trying to come up with fun stuff to do to keep him busy while we wait. So this week’s topic “Share your favorite holiday recipe ~OR~ Share a favorite craft to do with the kids as family gifts” is appropriate!
For the last two years my son and I have made ornaments at Christmas time. Last year we did these fun salt dough ornaments. Little man loved using the cookie cutters and cutting out different shapes and then painting them. We also tried out using a stamp and stamping the dough prior to drying it, then painting it. Those turned out really cool looking! And of course we had to do handprints too 😉
This year we are going to try making the cinnamon, no bake ornaments and decorate them with tulip paints. I found this easy recipe that I can use my dehydrator with. Little man and I picked out a whole lot of paints and glitter to decorate them with too. Should be fun!
