Happy Sunday y’all! Last week was a whirlwind. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!! I’m still a bit in disbelief that we not only found a house, but placed an offer and it was accepted 😀 It’s a new home that isn’t finished yet, so we won’t be moving til early Spring BUT I’m still SO excited! We took little man to see it last night. He was a little confused seeing that there were no lights or potties in the house yet ?

I did a lot of reading this week, either by listening or sitting down with the book. I managed to read 3 books this week. I think I can officially say I am out of my reading slump that had me bogged down at the end of 2016. Hopefully this momentum will keep up.

Currently Reading

I listened to The Gender Game by Bella Forrest last week and when I finished it I immediately bought the rest of the series. I am loving this dystopian series that is divided by gender. It makes for an interesting read to say the least. Plus Viggo *swoon*

This Week’s Book Fix

What are you reading this week?

This week I’m hoping for a not so busy week. The last several have been filled with looking for houses and while that might not sound exhausting, it is. I have some crochet that is calling my name and some books 😉 Little man and I have to work on his costume for the 100th day of school too. So lots of crafting this week.

What are your plans this week? Read anything good? Share below

  1. Congratulations on the house! That’s amazing. Also, I’ve read an ARC of the Gender Game and didn’t enjoy it as much, I’ve had trouble with the premise, but Bella Forrest has amazing love stories, so glad you liked it, hope the rest of the series is up to your expectations.

    • Thank you Olivia! We are so excited 🙂
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy The Gender Game though I understand that not every book is for every one. So far the sequel is living up to the first book. Hope you have a great week.

  2. House hunting is overwhelming!! I totally understand exactly how it can be exhausting! Hopefully you find something!
I will check out that Bella Forrest book. I liked her other series (the vampire one) and was curious about the new series! Enjoy all the new pretties!!

    • House hunting is overwhelming. I’m so glad we are done with the hunting. Now we just have to wait on the house to be finished 😀
I didn’t realize Forrest had another series! I’m going to have to check it out. Hope you have a great week!

  3. YAY! I am so very happy for you!!!! I wish you lots of luck! That is awesome!
I saw The Gender Game on Amazon this week, I think as a freebie and forgot to grab it. The cover fantastic.
Glad you Slump is over, I have no slump just no time to read. It’s driving me crazy!

    • Thank you Michelle! We are so excited 😀 The Gender Game is so good, though I have seen some not-so-good reviews that make me wonder if we read the same book. So far the sequel is just as good. Hope you have more time to read this week!

  4. CONGRATS on your new house!! WOOT, WOOT!! It is SO very nice when you find new digs that are to your liking! I wish you and your family the very best as you get your house ready for moving day!

“The Gender Game” sounds really good! I’ll be checking it out!

Oh, and you got “RoseBlood”!! I can’t wait to get a hold of that one! I’m a Phantom of the Opera fan, and like the fact that, in this book, it’s a woman who is “the Phantom”. LOVE that cover, too!!

And “Caraval”!!! OMG, I’m SO excited for that one!! I’ve been waiting several months for it!

Hope you enjoy all of your new reads!

Thanks for sharing your news!! Hope the week ahead is a TERRIFIC one!! 🙂

  5. Oooh nice!!! Can’t wait to read Carve the Mark and Roseblood! I really enjoyed Warm Bodies and can’t wait for the sequel! Though I have heard it’s also the “third” book. I think there was something in between that might have been a 1.5, so maybe that’s why Goodreads is saying it’s the third? I don’t know, so confused! LOL! Read Warm Bodies just before the movie and am so excited for the new book! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!

And I know what you mean about the slump. I don’t think I’m quite out of mine yet, but nearly there…
