Happy Sunday y’all! What a week this has been! Last week I reported that little man had been struck down by the flu. Well on Monday I thought he was doing so much better and was ready to return to school. Not 10 minutes after I dropped him off, I got a call from the school nurse that he was throwing up and well the day devolved from there. Long story short, little man has a secondary infection which is apparently common after the flu. After two different antibiotics I think we are finally on the right track. I’ll be so glad for spring! Winter has been rough. And the flu has been so rampant at little man’s school that they actually closed for the week to give the teachers and students a chance to get better.
Reading wise it was a decent week. I read three books (I can’t listen when little man is home). And guys!!! It’s the blog’s fourth birthday this week 😀 I don’t have any special plans but I thought I’d share that.

This Week’s Book Fix
What are you reading this week?
This week will be busy! Little man’s birthday is Saturday and I have a lot of cleaning and preparing to do before we have friends over. He is currently obsessed with Star Wars so that is theme. Luckily we have a lot of Star Wars stuff so I really don’t have to buy decorations. Reading wise I probably won’t get much read this week, especially since my current read is nearly 600 pages and I just started it 😉
I had a bad case of the flu that knocked me flat for three weeks. I rarely get sick, so I was surprised at how hard it hit me. Hope you little one feels better soon.

I’m sorry he’s been sick! We’ve had either strep or the flu here. Have a great birthday party next weekend!

The flu has been awful, and yes the little Prince got ear infections as a secondary infection from the flu. Smart of the school to shut down and disinfect! Hope he is on the mend and the rest of you avoid it. It took about 10 days before we came down with the flu after being exposed to our grandchildren.

Oh my goodness – that’s a desperate measure! I hope your little man soon feels a LOT better. Like you, I’m more than ready for the weather to break and become significantly warmer – not likely here for at least another month, sadly… Have a great week, despite the flu and cold, Lillian:)
Yeah the flu is rough this year! I avoid people who sneeze or cough with a good ten feet between us. Apparently though that’s not enough! Thankfully the office is usually empty for the majority of the day anyway! Glad he’s on the right track to healthy though!
And yay for your blogoversary!! 4 years is amazing! Congrats!!

Oh, so sorry he got sick again. It’s hard to watch our babies suffer so. Hope he has a speedy recovery:)

Oh, I hope he starts feeling better soon. I don’t think the flu has been that bad in my school district, although almost 30 (or it could be more by now) people in Austin have died from the flu. Closing down to give rest and sanitize the schools is a smart idea. Stay warm!
