Amanda’s Weekly Update

No coffee wasted *this* week!! I finished Holly Black’s The Cruel Prince and it was delicious. Review forthcoming! I can’t wait to dig my eyeballs into the next in the series! (That was graphic…but you get my drift…🤪) I’m also reading a steamy romance set in medieval Scotland right now. I like Scotland. Especially when it’s medieval and/or steamy. In other news: on Sunday I maxed out my deadlifts. I added another 20 lbs to my lift, which is awesome. I think I might have been able to pull more, but I’m alright with 235 lbs. For now.😈 My next training block is going to be intense leading up to my first competition in November, but I’m pretty excited about it. In other OTHER news: this coming Saturday, I’m taking my kids down to Tennessee to visit all the family down there. My youngest is almost 17 months old and most of my family hasn’t met him yet, some haven’t even met my 4 year old! I’m excited to get down there and hug everyone’s neck. And don’t worry, your favorite moms with reading problems will get together to catch up, and will make sure to produce photographic evidence! 😉

Lillian’s Weekly Update

Happy Sunday y’all! What a week! I’m exhausted just thinking about it. Little man had his first cross country meet on Monday. He finished with a time of 12:39. Pretty good for his first run. His next meet is tomorrow, and he is excited to try and beat his previous time. It was Grandparent’s Day at his school on Friday which also means BOOK FAIR! I’ve always loved Book Fairs so when the librarian asked if I could help set up and work the register again this year I was all for it. Little man might have come home with enough books to keep him reading for the rest of the year….oops 😅 Yesterday we went took little man to his first college football game (my mom came too, it was also her first time). We had a blast! AND THEY WON #VFL #GBO🍊 Today I’m taking it semi-easy, painting a class project for the Fall Festival (I’ll post pics when it’s all finished) in our garage and listening to an audiobook while I do it.

Reading wise it was a slow week for me. Basically if I sat down to read, I fell asleep 😂 I think I read like 10 chapters in the book I started Monday. Maybe I can read more this week. That’s the goal anyways….

  1. Oh nice! Sounds like good busy times! And oh Book Fair week! I LOOOOVED Book Fair week! I have amazing memories of my 7th grade Book Fair which was when my paranormal gene was bitten and they had quite the selection there! I think I spent all my allowance and then noted a few more to tell my mom after conferences! My school was smart by having Book Fair week during Parent/Teacher Conferences so then kids can tell their parents what books they wanted! Lol.

Nice new reads too!! I loved The Wicked King and am super excited for The Queen of Nothing! Hope you both enjoy the new reads!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!
