Series: Angel Falls #3

Length: 672 pages
Reviewing Paperback Rating:

The award-winning author who writes with "humor and heart" (Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author) invites you to visit the charming small town of Angel Falls.

Being naughty was nice, but now these friends-turned-lovers are in for an unforgettable Christmas…

Just when Kaitlyn Barnes vows to get over her longtime crush on Rafe Langdon, they share a sizzling evening that delivers an epic holiday surprise: Kaitlyn is pregnant. And if that weren’t life-changing enough, everyone assumes they’re engaged — a charade they must keep alive through the holiday season. But Kaitlyn knows Rafe better than anyone, and Rafe settling down is about as likely as Santa skipping Angel Falls this year…

Rafe would rather Kaitlyn believe a lie — that their night together was a fling — than face his own dangerous truth: he’s falling for her, hard. After a devastating loss, Rafe swore he’d never risk his heart again. Yet the longer they pretend to be engaged the more Rafe starts to want the real thing. But now he has to convince Kaitlyn he wants to be by her side — and their baby’s — for all the Christmases to come.

Includes the bonus novel Christmas on Mistletoe Lane by Annie Rains!

All I Want for Christmas is You by Miranda Liasson is my favorite of the Angel Falls series so far. This time we are getting Rafe and Kaitlyn’s story. These two have been featured in both the previous books of the series, so I knew their story was coming. But y’all….it was SO much better than I expected.

The book opens with Kaitlyn Barnes finding out she is pregnant. The father….her best friends’ little brother, who also happens to be her friend. Naturally she is freaking out. Not about being a mother, but losing her friends and telling Rafe. I love Kaitlyn. The idea of being a mother doesn’t scare her at all. She’s even a little excited, albeit puzzled that it could happen using two forms of birth control and all. Yet she worries about Rafe, who has actively avoided her since they were together at the wedding. They crossed a line that they can’t uncross in their friendship, and the fallout scares Kaitlyn.

Rafe Langdon is the younger brother of the Langdon sisters. He’s a first responder/firefighter and a love them and leave them kinda guy. However sleeping with Kaitlyn was a mistake. It brings up feelings he’s not ready to admit he has. After losing his fiancé in a car crash years earlier, he swore off women. But Kaitlyn makes him remember what it is like to love someone which scares him and why he has been avoiding him.

Overall I loved All I Want for Christmas is You. Rafe and Kaitlyn are such a good fit. The story and how their relationship evolves is sweet. These are two best friends learning how they fit together. If you enjoy sweet, contemporary romance, I highly recommend it.

I love Christmas books!! I usually wait till November to start reading them… but maybe I need to do a Christmas in July also… 🤔

    • I love reading a few in the summer. It’s a good way for me to reset after a heavy fantasy or sad book. They never fail to make me smile.

  2. Lillian! Thank you for including my book in your Christmas in July celebration!! Of all my heroes, I think I love Rafe the best. Appreciate the kind review and stay safe everybody!! xoxo
