It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially for a comic book illustrator whose late-night naughty fantasies become real in a festive and spicy short story by bestselling author Alexis Daria.

All Evie Cruz wants for Christmas is a nap. And maybe some ornaments for her naked Christmas tree. And while she’s making a list, she wouldn’t mind unwrapping her sexy upstairs neighbor like a present. Luckily, the building’s Santa-themed party and a surprise sprig of mistletoe give her just the opening she needs to make all her wishes come true.

Alexis Daria’s Only Santas in the Building is part of Under the Mistletoe, a collection of sexy December romances to warm the cold winter nights. They can be read or listened to in one swoony sitting.

Only Santas in the Building by Alexis Daria is the final story in the Under the Mistletoe collection which features five short stories from five romance authors sure to spice up your holiday reading. This is my second favorite of the collection. Evie Cruz is working on a deadline to finish her illustrations for a new graphic novel. Being an independent contractor means she can set her own hours, but deadlines are still deadlines. Focusing all her time and energy into her work has left little time to decorate her tree for Christmas, and one of her new neighbors notice. Suddenly hand-crafted ornaments begin showing up on her doorstep, and Evie wants to thank the person if she can just figure out who it is.

I really enjoyed this one. The characters were fully fleshed out which is hard to accomplish in 65 pages. Evie’s grieving the loss of her grandmother and home this holiday season. She’s the new tenant in the apartment building which seems to have a close knit community. The Christmas party one of the neighbors is hosting is the perfect opportunity for her to find out who is leaving ornaments for her and maybe flirt with the cute neighbor upstairs.

Overall Only Santas in the Building is a sweet and fun read about finding home in new places with new people. I highly recommend it.

Each of the books in the Under the Mistletoe collection are available in Kindle Unlimited with audio narration. These spicy stories can be read in under two hours (less if you are listening) which makes them a perfect holiday read if you are short on time.
