Amanda’s Weekly Update

This week has been a lot of madness, which I feel like is typical in this season. Tuesday I went to Richmond to train with my coach. Turns out, I didn’t lose as much strength as I thought this last month, with all the training I missed! That makes me happy. Two kids got sick this week (which does not make me happy), so I couldn’t go to the gym, but I did get to use my bar and plates at home outside in this MARVELOUS Fall weather. Fall weather makes me feel like I can conquer the world. Overall, I’d grade my week with a solid B+, the kids didn’t get TOO too sick and I still got to lift.

I may have also listened to like 4 books this week. I am SO in love with Tanya Anne Crosby’s new series – so be on the lookout for some audio reviews for The King’s Favorite and A Winter’s Rose from her series Daughters of Avalon. Think medieval, Welsh magic, extra dark villain, love, adventure and heart-pounding suspense. 😊 *sighs dreamily*. I have a new favorite narrator, too – and I’ll be reviewing two of his reads soon. You just WAIT. It’s like listening to chocolate, both of them squeaky clean regency romances. 😊 *more dreamy sighing*

Lillian’s Weekly Update

Happy Sunday y’all! I’m with Amanda in rating my week a solid B+. Little man went back to school, and we had a big school project to complete. It was fun and time consuming. In addition to that, I had a stomach virus for the first half of the week that left me feeling drained and 12 pounds lighter. Reading wise it was a great week. I finally got a chance to sit down with Jennifer L. Armentrout’s The Burning Shadow and it was AH-MAZING! In addition I’ve binge read Grace Draven’s Wraith King series (Radiance and Eidolon). Hopefully by the time you read this I will have it finished and moved on to Rosaria Munda’s Fireborne. AND maybe my team will win against Alabama too….

  1. It sounds like you both had a good week. YAY for not losing too much strength even without being able to work out as much, Amanda.
And a school project can be fun, Lilian, I’m glad little man had your help.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  2. It’s that time of year! I’m trying to avoid sick people. And also debate about getting a flu shot. I’ve never bothered with it before but just wonder if maybe now I should since I’m in a bigger office environment this time around!

Nice new reads! I hope you both enjoy your newest additions!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!
