Amanda’s Weekly Update

Anyone else having problems with their days melting together into an indiscernible pile of hours? That’s me this week. Days happened and there was eating and sleeping and stuff.

Confession tho: I am terrible about cleaning my house. It always looks very “lived in”. Toys everywhere, books stacked in window sills, French press coffee makers needing a good scrub, fine layer of dust over nearly everything. We clean up, but our efforts are quickly undone by our three positively WILD children. However, Monday I deep cleaned my bathroom for the first time in…an embarrassing amount of time. It might have taken me all day to do. It was just…guys…it was scary. I will say half the problem was my lack of organization. After the literal dust settled, it smelled all bleachy and clean and I took a NAP. That’s pretty much all I remember from this week…one thing I did. 😂😂 I’ve also been binge-watching a series on Netflix called Meteor Garden. It’s a Chinese drama – and there’s so much drama and I love it. Very niche, but I love anime so reading subtitles isn’t a weird thing for me. It’s like 40 episodes long tho. I still have 5 to go. 😥 But I believe in me! I can make it to the end! I shall persevere! (I’ll let ya know how it goes. 😅)

I had an audio book to occupy me this week, too – The Iron Trial of The Magisterium series by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black (two of my favorite authors). I’m on tinder hooks about how the series will end! Can’t wait to review it for you! 😆😆

Lillian’s Weekly Update

Happy Sunday y’all! I agree with Amanda that the days became one this week. I honestly haven’t known what day it is any day this week….with the exception of today. After spending the previous week working 11-12 hours a day on my husband’s website, I did no work this week. I spent it reading. As of this morning, I’ve read 6 books (around 2500 pages) this week. I’m not even ashamed to say that I spent most of my free time reading (and my sleep time). It was worth it. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say that I’ve read that much. It used to be my normal to read this much or more a week. I’m hoping to squeeze that much in again this week 😉

  1. CLEAN THE HOUSE!!!! yes I need to write that down because I keep pushing that aside. I do little clean ups but this house could use a nice cleaning…..maybe next weekend.

I have been trying to spend as much time as I can with reading but I am easily distracted. I am looking forward to the kids being done with school so we can not be so crazy busy all the time.

I hope you both have a great week! Happy Reading!

UPDATE: I was wrong – the series has 49 episodes. FORTY-NINE. REPEAT: FORTY-NINE at 45 mins a piece. This feels like one of those reading marathons where you have to come up for air every couple of hours because you’re too heavily involved in their world. Lawd. So I’ve been watching it since yesterday in my free time and I STILL have 5 episodes to go.
