Amanda’s Weekly Update
Where did the week go?? Last thing I remember was my anniversary (last Saturday) and now it’s Saturday again. How is everyone doing? Staying cool out there?
My week was pretty bookish! I read the entire Shadow & Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. I have some feelings about it. Hopefully I can get the reviews live soon! Now I’m reading Aurora Rising and I’m lost in space (but in a good way?). I don’t usually read space sci‐fis because I watch so many. Between Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Firefly and Warhammer 40k I have too much mental real estate occupied by stars and wars and sexy captains and “plight of alien races”. HOWEVER. This one got me like 🤔😳😲😵🥰😂🥺😱😁😍🤔😬😭😱 all at the same time. Highly recommend.

Happy Sunday y’all! I’m with Amanda….where did the week go?! I feel like I blinked and it was over. I spent the week alternating between reading and cleaning. We are starting our first day of school tomorrow so I had to get our little office/schoolroom ready to go. I’m excited for the new year and so is little man. He stayed in the room with me and “helped” while I cleaned (his idea of helping was to pull out his new school books and read them). Reading wise it was a slow week. I didn’t finish anything….but I’m also alternating between like four books so 🤷

Oh nice! I feel more like the week dragged on and on and then the weekend just flew by! Sigh…I just wish I could have something to look forward to, but that might not be happening until the end of 2021…if we’re lucky!
