Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee @ Parajunkee’s View and Alison @ Alison Can Read. Each week the two hosts post a question for Book Bloggers to answer, provide a link-up, and choose a participant to feature on their blogs. If you participate, the point is to follow others and in return gain followers.
Welcome to this week’s edition of Feature & Follow! I’m Lillian in case you didn’t know that already 😉 I started blogging a year ago and it has been a fun and crazy year! I read pretty much anything that is placed in front of me, I’m a bit of a cover snob, and I tend to gravitate to young adult fiction. Why young adult? Well, it’s usually a cleaner read than adult fiction, there’s plenty of action/suspense, and who can resist a romance about first love?!
My blog features whatever I happen to be in the mood to read. I’ve had some fun interviews with authors and characters and hope to do more in the very near future. Please join me in some bookish adventures. You can follow via Bloglovin or anyway you choose 😀
This week’s questions is: “Here is €/£/$100,000. Buy something. Anything at all! What would be the first thing you choose, and why?” – Suggested by Journey Through Fiction.
A HOUSE!!!! My husband and I have been married now for almost nine years and in those nine years we’ve moved five times and lived in apartments and townhomes. Now there is nothing wrong with the apartment we’ve lived in. In fact, we’ve been very fortunate and have had some really nice places with good landlords. BUT….
I still want my own place. I want a house that I can decorate however I want. I want to pick out my appliances and paint colors. I want a yard so I can have a garden and a play set for my son to play on that he doesn’t have to share with other kids. And I want a room solely for books…in other words I want a library in my house 😉 Trust me I have enough books for it.
What would you buy with that much money?
…or follow any way you chose 😀
Remember this is a blog hop. Be sure to visit the other blogs and give them some love too!

A library is a MUST :DDD Hopefully, one day I could buy a house with my own library too. Wonderful plan!

A house is a great choice. Would it be enough for a house, though? Here, houses are quite expensive (about 200 000 euros at least) so 100 000 might not buy you much on the house market.
My Follow Friday post.
My thoughts are it would at least pay about half of it 😉
I would so use that money for an apartment! I need my own place! Old follower!

In some ways I would choose a house as well.

Buying a house is a really great idea! I hated having to move around apartments before we bought our house last fall. We’re just getting all settled and ready to start on projects now. Good luck on getting your dream house some day! 😀

That sounds like a great way to spend the money! It took us a long time to buy our first home as well. Good luck to you. It will happen.

That would be a great thing to get. A house is so much different than renting. We rented for so many years and then finally got our house. So much better. Old follower!

I was going to list a house too, but homes in California are no where close to $100,000.00. In fact, that would be more of a down payment :/ Still, it’s a wonderful investment for sure! 🙂

I literally have a library in my room. Soon there won’t be anywhere for me to actually sleep LMAO. I would get tired of living in apartments and townhomes that I don’t own either. I’m mega OCD about certain things and would want things MY WAY, especially if I’m shelling out money to live somewhere. I think I’d buy more bookshelves with the money… and then MORE BOOKS TO FILL IT WITH, WAHHOOOO! Lmao
