COYER is back for the summer baby!!! That’s right I’m a tad excited for this. I participated in COYER this past winter and had a blast, made some new blogging friends, and just in general had fun reading. So when I saw it was back for some summer fun, I knew I just had to join in 😀 Summer COYER hosted by the lovely Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun, Michelle @ Because Reading, and Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews Oh My! starts June 20th and ends September 4th, if you want to join you have until August 8th to do so.
My Goals
Rules: There is a slight rule change for Summer vs. Winter COYER. In the winter the goal was to clean out your e-reader, reading only ebooks that you received for free or met COYER guidelines of being nearly free (in America, less than 2.99). In the Summer, all books are game except library books. You have to own it, it can be a hardcopy or ebook, and it doesn’t matter the cost. This rule change excites me because I have a certain Christmas gift (The Mortal Instruments) that needs reading and my recent discovery of Book Outlet has added to my TBR pile immensely!
There are 11 full weeks of COYER this summer and my goal is to read at least 20 books that count and all contribute to the Scavenger Hunt. That would roughly be 2 books a week, something I know I (and you) know I can do 😉 Unlike the Scavenger Hunt this winter, there are 80 topics to choose from so I will not be posting books for every choice like last time because this post would be massive!! Instead here are a few of the books I plan on reading (covers link to Goodreads):
So that’s just a taste of the books I plan to read 😉 I know there will be lots more. Bonus: I already own these! My hubby will be thrilled…
In addition to the Scavenger Hunt and 20 books, I plan to participate in at least 2 read-a-thons and actively participate in the Facebook group. I would say I would attend a twitter party, but let’s face it….I suck at Twitter! If anyone would like to give me a tutorial, I would happily accept it 😉
My Progress
If you would like to keep up with how I am doing, check back here. As I read and review my COYER books, links will pop up down here (hopefully!):
Oh, how fun! I’m going to visit Berls and the others and sign up now! Have fun and happy reading this summer! 🙂
Maggie @ The Novel Orange recently posted…Introduction
Do it Maggie! It’s so much fun 😀
I imagine my husband approves too because this means I won’t need to buy any new books to meet the challenge requirements. LOL Good luck with the challenge. I’m excited to be participating this summer.
