Only 4 days til Christmas!!! Are you all done with your holiday shopping? We celebrated Christmas this past Saturday with little man and are spending the week at home with grandparents. I can now say that we had a successful day and I even managed to surprise him with his gifts this year 😀
Every year we end up splitting our time between our families and attending more parties than I can count. So far this year we’ve attended two and missed two and it isn’t even Christmas yet!!! This week’s topic is “Where’s Your Favorite Place/People to Spend the Holidays?” Suggested by Lexie @ (un)conventional Bookviews.
We’re Not That Far From Bethlehem
Back home, every Christmas Eve, my home church has a candle light service. It’s silent except for the pastor delivering the Lord’s Supper. It’s a wonderful reminder in the busyness of the season just what we are celebrating, the birth of Christ our risen Savior. It’s in that stillness which you may not get the rest of the week that I find comfort and hope.
We haven’t been able to go that last several years as one of us has been working, but I’m hoping to remedy that this year 😀
