Merry December y’all! I cannot believe the last month of the year has already begun. Where has 2017 gone?! This year has moved lightening fast. November did too. I feel like I blinked and it was gone. November was busy with the holiday and life in general. Little man started the month with a week long stomach virus and we ended the month with all of us having a cold 😒 SO I’m not really sad to see the month end. I read/listened to 11 books last month and reviewed 7. Y’all I’m soooooo far behind in writing reviews that if I sat down and started writing today I’d have enough for all of December and January 🤦🏼♀️ which leads me to a question….how do you keep up with your reviews? This is something I need to get better at in 2018. Any suggestions welcomed 😀

What are you looking forward to in December?
December is going to be another busy month. 2018 will be here before we know it! Between holidays and field trips and musicals, our month is packed. I’m looking forward to it though. It should be a memorable one 😉
My month is busy too. December sure blew in fast! No matter how I plan, I’m always behind. LOL Have a great week!

I know – I’m sure that this November had less days in it – I’m coming to the conclusion that they don’t make months the same as they did in the old days… Glad to hear you are all recovered from that stomach virus. As for book reviews… it’s always a battle to keep up, isn’t it? I hope you have a lovely December:))
I hope little man is feeling better! I don’t read all that many books each month (except around the holidays and summer, and lately that has been slim, too). Typically I read 4 books a month, so it leaves me plenty of time after finishing one or two to write those reviews. However, lately I have been so focused on finishing some reading goals (HOHOHO RAT, NetGalley) that I am more consumed with reading than writing. I had six reviews to write – I wrote all of them at the beginning of November and now I have five more reviews to write. I’ve just been waiting to write them. I prep the post with everything I need except the review. When I sit down to write that batch of reviews, I just work in order and write them and knock them all out.
ROFL, you know how I keep up with reviews? I always write them immediately (or pretty close to immediately) after finishing the book. And I *try* to never start a new one until my review for the previous one is written. I always worry my brain is not going to remember what I liked/disliked about a book unless I get it all out there. 😛 Course I’m currently behind. When I’m on a vacation without my laptop, then I’ll open a Google Docs and write out bullet points my thoughts. It’s better than nothing for my crazy mind. 🙂

I keep a book journal so I can keep notes about things I don’t include in my review but I like the idea of writing as soon as you finish. I sat down today and knocked out five reviews. Only 12 more to go 😳🤦🏼♀️
Merry December to you too 🙂 I don’t know, time flies, right?!
I also had a stomach virus last week. It totally sucked! Must be this year’s “flu” or something.
And the answer is, I don’t really keep up with my reviews xD I have a ton waiting to be written!
Have a great week 🙂
