Happy Sunday y’all! It was a long week. The heat index has been in the 100s all week with little relief. We did finally get some rain on Friday. It’s the first rain we’ve had in nearly a month. My yard and gardens desperately needed it. Aside from the heat, we’ve been dealing with illness all week. Little man has COVID, he’s feeling some better, just has a nasty cough and some congestion still. Thankfully the hubby and I got a much milder case so we’ve just been congested and sleepy. The illness affected my reading this week. I managed to finish one book, but have three others I’m currently bouncing between that I expect to finish this coming week.

You got some great books this week! We had some cooler temps for a change. And some more rain! Sorry about the being sick. Makes for a rough week! Hopefully everyone gets to feeling better this week and it cools down for you guys!

Your weather sounds basically like ours. I am over heat and it’s barely started. It’s always hot actual temps in July / August but not the high heat index. I hope you all feel better soon. I read epidemiologist newsletters each week and COVID is up again. We just continue to be careful and haven’t had it. My daughter has plenty of health issues without it.

Oh no! Glad to hear you’re all doing better! Covid sucks and I can’t believe it’s our new flu. We finally got some rain this week too! I think ours was on the third and a little on the morning of the 4th as it did cancel a few fireworks shows in the area. But then I think neighbors were shooting off their own because I heard it all night when I was trying to sleep as I had to work Friday. Oddly, I didn’t hear any Friday, but they were going off last night and tonight is when our city rescheduled their show for. Not sure why they chose another work night instead of choosing say, Friday or Saturday! Lol.
I still need to read Lexi Ryan’s books! They’re piling up on my TBR pile but I loved Tracy Wolff’s Crave series!! And ooh nice new reads! Some new to me ones but a few look familiar as I’ve seen some earlier today! Lol. Hope you enjoy all of the lovely new reads!
