Happy Sunday y’all! This week it was nice to slow down a bit and enjoy the magic of the season. Last week was a bit chaotic with Thanksgiving, but still fun. We spent the holidays with both sides of the family before spending our Black Friday seeing Gabriel Iglesias live. SO WORTH THE WAIT! We bought tickets back in March, and it was worth every penny. We’re already talking about next time 😁 We ended last weekend by getting our Christmas decorations out. Little man and I decorated the trees, and then this week I’ve spent catching up on all the things I couldn’t do over the holidays like chores and reading.
Typically, we kickoff December by seeing our niece in the Nutcracker, but this year I was sick so had to stay home. Little man and the hubby went though and said she did great (which I had no doubts). This coming week looks to be busy with Christmas festivities at our church. Little man has started volunteering with the media team and working the cameras, so he will need to go for almost all the performances. I’m really looking forward to it!

Glad you had a nice holiday and festivities! That’s always fun! Sorry to hear you got sick though before seeing your niece! I hope you’re feeling better now.
Nice new reads too! All new to me ones here but I hope you enjoy them all!

Thank you! I’m feeling much better today. Started an antibiotic yesterday…turns out you are never too old for strep throat 😅
The holidays are coming up fast and furious. We are pretty relaxed about them. I did some buddy reading this week. I’ve finished most of my ARCs and I’m waiting until the 15th to start the 2025 ones for the RAT.

They are! We are fairly relaxed too, but we have a lot of birthdays in November, December, and the beginning of January that keep us busy with the holidays thrown in as well. That’s awesome that you’ve finished your ARCs. I’m so far behind 🫣 BUT I’m trying to be better. I found a system that works for me, keeps me motivated to read them.
Ooh, adding the Highland Hearts Holiday Book Shop to my TBR. I loved the Meghan Quinn book, hope you are enjoying it too! I’m trying to get around and read some reviews, so hopefully have some of yours to check out too. Have a good week!

Doesn’t that one look cute? It’s in KU right now, popped up as a recommendation for me. Glad to hear you enjoyed Quinn’s. She hasn’t let me down yet. I’m debating listening to the audiobook or reading it. Which did you do?
My whole family was involved in worship and tech teams when the kids were younger – it’s a fun way to volunteer!

It really is! He’s been volunteering with the youth group on Wednesday nights since September, but started with the Sunday morning team the week of Thanksgiving. He is loving it! And it’s been a great education experience for him as well as he is thinking about studying AV media.
