Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event originally created and hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. Jill has been MIA since August of 2016. Despite this, the meme lives on….Hope you come back Jill! Until then I will be joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can’t-Wait Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday y’all! This week’ I’m eagerly waiting on Marie Lu‘s The Kingdom of Back. First just look at that pretty cover 😍 Then the blurb….I’m getting Labyrinth vibes. Anyone else? I love historical fiction. It’s one of those I don’t review much on the blog, but I read a lot of. This one sounds like a mix of fantasy and history. I love that the author is focusing on Mozart’s sister for the story. Can you tell I’m excited 😉 I can’t wait for this one!

Length: 336 pages
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Marie Lu comes a historical YA fantasy about a musical prodigy and the dangerous lengths she'll go to make history remember her—perfect for fans of Susanna Clarke and The Hazel Wood.
Two siblings. Two brilliant talents. But only one Mozart.
Born with a gift for music, Nannerl Mozart has just one wish—to be remembered forever. But even as she delights audiences with her masterful playing, she has little hope she'll ever become the acclaimed composer she longs to be. She is a young woman in 18th century Europe, and that means composing is forbidden to her. She will perform only until she reaches a marriageable age—her tyrannical father has made that much clear.
And as Nannerl's hope grows dimmer with each passing year, the talents of her beloved younger brother, Wolfgang, only seem to shine brighter. His brilliance begins to eclipse her own, until one day a mysterious stranger from a magical land appears with an irresistible offer. He has the power to make her wish come true—but his help may cost her everything.
In her first work of historical fiction, #1 New York Times bestselling author Marie Lu spins a lush, lyrically-told story of music, magic, and the unbreakable bond between a brother and sister.

So, I loved Legend, but haven’t read on in that series. Didn’t like the first book in her next series, so yeah. Kinda want to read this one though. We’ll see.
Check out my Wednesday post
Ooh nice! I’m curious about this one, yet also hesitant for some reason! I’m going to wait for reviews before I make the plunge I think. I hope you love it once you get to read it!

The Kingdom of Back sounds awesome! I love it when music is weaved through a story.
