Goodbye August, Hello September! August was SO incredibly busy with little man starting Kindergarten and finally after two months getting settled into our new apartment. It was a slow reading month, not because I was in a slump but because when I had the chance to sit down and read I would fall asleep from exhaustion. I managed to read 10 books and write 12 reviews. I’m hoping this month will be a bit slower and I can enjoy the time as it flies by.
Favorite August Read
I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about this series because I wasn’t crazy about the main character or her love interest. BUT I love the author’s writing and the story so I stuck with it. This book is the third in the series and I’m in love!
Favorite August Quote

This Week’s Book Fix
What are you looking forward to in September?
September is looking to be full and fun! It kicked off with my football team winning their game in overtime (#GBO #VFL) and ends with a Fall Festival. We’ve already had a taste of fall weather here in East TN and I’ve decorated for fall in my kitchen and door wreath. I’m ready for the cooler temps, reading under a blanket and cinnamon everything 😀
Reading wise, I purposely didn’t schedule myself for any blog tours or reading challenges so I could catch up on some review books and also Empire of Storms! Can’t wait to delve into it.
This year really needs to slow down just a little because I want to enjoy the last 4 months.
I hope things settle down a bit for you. My crazy will be starting this week. I do hope it doesn’t push me back further than I already am. *fingers crossed*
I hope you have a great week, Lillian! Happy Reading! ox

I’m looking forward to September and cooler temps. And 10 books is pretty good! I like the look of The Body Institute and Empire of storms too (I need to read those). Hope the nice fall weather continues!

Oh Paper Princess and Broken prince were SO GOOD!! I can’t wait to get my hands on Twisted Palace. Hopefully this month isn’t so exhausting and you get to enjoy some reading time!

I loved The Royals ? I can’t wait for the next one either. Just glad it’s only a little more than a month away!
I’m hoping that the year will slow down a bit in September, but the way it’s shaping up, it’ll be October before I know it!

Right?! When my parents used to say cherish the time in high school I would roll my eyes. Now I get it!
